Meet Mariel Crystal Gonzalez of New York City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariel Crystal Gonzalez.

Hi Mariel Crystal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a dreamy girl from Dominican Republic who grew up admiring tv stars since a young age and always wanted to be on tv. As I was growing up I started developed more and more love for tv shows, movies and the stage. My early ages on the media industry started when I won my first beauty pageant at age 15, my second at 16 and my last and third at 17 being able to represent my Country. During those years I got use to be in interviews and get more experience in front of the cameras, not being as shy as before and my confidence started growing.

When I was around 21 years old, right before I decide to moved to USA to pursue this Acting career in fully, I started in a Musical which open my eyes and make me love the acting way more. By being pushed to try new things like singing live and noticing how good I can be, I started to get more and more convinced that I needed to move and expand myself.

I moved to USA on October 2017 and since then I’ve been living my dream. easy? not really. for a few years was on and off because lets be real, is not for the weak and is very demanding, I had 3 jobs at the same time just to have enough more so I can cover all my expenses and be finally financial stable in a Country where I was practically new.

I started working as an extra for multiple shows and big screen movies and with that I got the chance to finally be on set, see how it works and have a sense of what my life could be ( very exciting TBH ). Highs and lows came but I tried to keep myself strong. Keep working, doing small projects and short films until in 2025 I got the opportunity to finally be signed with a talent agency and then everything started to look much better for me.

I’ve been in multiple National tv commercials for big brands like Taco Bell, Homeserve and Verizon. Have auditioned for big names like Robert Deniro and juts the fact that I had that opportunity just keeps giving me hopes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, NOT AT ALL! I’ve have had a lot of struggles, so many times I wanted to quit this career still knowing that God is the one who have the last word and if I still wake up, got self tapes requests and got booked, is because He have a purpose with me and this career. Maybe he’ll use me as an example for resilience and faith, to inspire others to keep going even when is hard because if he put that dream on you is because you’re more than able to achieve it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well I am an Actor, Model and Creator. You can find me on the latest Homeserve commercial on Fox, Taco Bell and soon to be out Verizon. MLB latinos commercial, in the Joker2 as a News anchor alongside with Lady gaga ( Amazing experience ) and a few more.

How do you think about happiness?
For me happiness is being healthy, Gods love, having my family by my side, my friends, the sun, flowers and FOOOD OMG FOOD, moving my body and laughing.

why? BECAUSE that’s life <3, the beautiful part of it. It makes me feel alive and full.
