Meet Lynette Jefferies of My Desserts Diva®

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynette Jefferies. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Lynette has been baking for over twenty years. It was when she held a position as an IT Financial Coordinator with the National Basketball Association that she decided it was time to take her passion for baking to the next level. Lynette loved her job with the NBA, but she was ready for that big step out on faith.

Rebranded and established in 2016, My Desserts Diva® is an artisan baking company focusing on small-batch baking, using farm-to-table fresh products and globally sourced ingredients in each gourmet creation.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been many challenges during my entrepreneurship journey. More recently during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve had to pivot several times. Physically relocating my business and adjusting to local and state laws during the initial phase of the pandemic.

Lynette Jefferies, best known as Dessert Bae, the original Dessert Diva; is located in Baltimore, Maryland and serving the DMV area. Dessert is an expression of Gratitude™, and Lynette takes the love of dessert and applies her very own personal expression to each individual creation.

Our dessert boutique is a carry-out/popup specialty shop for freshly baked; prepackaged desserts.

Our location also serves as a pickup location for online orders and our onsite interactive workshops.

We Don’t Dump Desserts™. My Desserts Diva is committed by practicing community, environment and economic responsibility. Which means we concentrate our efforts on reducing food waste while consistently providing quality products and services.

Resulting in decadent handcrafted desserts for any and every occasion.

What are your plans for the future?
We are working on some potential future changes but aren’t in the position to share specifics about these changes just yet. But stay tuned.
