Meet Líon Goodwin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Líon Goodwin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Líon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am an artist originally from Northern Virginia but currently based in LA. I have been writing music and producing now for roughly around ten years. Two years ago, I lost my career and a full-time job, went through a toxic breakup, and I had nowhere to live all within the same month. So I took the risk driving across the country alone to kick start my music career.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The move to LA for sure was something to adjust to, I had no family or friends out here and was restarting my life essentially along with trying to jump start my music career. Getting adjusted to such a high traffic city and its expenses has been rough but overall, its been a beneficial learning process.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am truly independent. I write, record, produce, mix, master all of my songs. I even design the cover art to my song covers and do video edits for my music. I also feel like my sound is very unique because I do not listen to popular music or what’s on the radio, so my style is very different from most.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I have had lots of accomplishments thus far. One would be reaching 500,000 views on “Don’t Do Love” on a popular youtube channel called Taz Network. Its a collaboration record produced by EDM producer ‘Linko’. I have also been on X factor back in 2014 and worked alongside with pop singer Jake Miller in his home studio.
