Hi Lilian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started Lilz Boutique in 2020 during the global pandemic after reaching the peak of my retail career. I have been in retail for over seven years and have always dreamt of creating a brand that represents women empowerment through fashion. Lilz Boutique is a small business operated online. We are an Asian-owned company. Growing up, my parents has taught me to believe that true happiness isn’t about chasing the money, it is about following your passion, doing what you love and money will come. After being in the boutique business for two years, we expanded into a shop front with Open Market OC and we now have an existing retail location in the heart of Irvine at the Tustin Market Place. Our mission is make women feel beautiful and confident in clothing for all types of occasions. Our collections are curated by selection and hand-picked, bringing uniqueness yet effortless styles.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running a small business has been quite challenging during times of uncertainty. It has definitely been a learning curve with trial and error but so much fun all at once. We opened the boutique during the most challenging time of the year and have grown our customer base through the amount of support our community has shown us. We truly appreciate all the people supporting local businesses and giving us an opportunity to shine.

We are a global online women’s boutique retail. Lilz boutique is unique for curating & hand selection of each piece of clothing based on fit and quality. We custom-make all of our jewelry. We offer 18k gold plated + Gold dipped + sterling silver accessories from necklaces to bracelets & rings. Lilz boutique has a shop front with open market OC in Irvine at the Tustin marketplace and is open seven days a week for in-person shopping.
As a Female Asian-owned company, I am most proud of following my passion and doing what others say I can’t achieve. Our brand stands for women’s empowerment and together we want to allow women to feel confident in their everyday wear no matter the occasion. We strive to bring quality to life while ensuring affordability for our clients.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite memory as a child was bribing my dad to take me to target to buy stationery items. I remember biking door to door to sell it back for double so I could gain my profits and start a “savings” in my piggy bank. My dad has always been my #1 supporter in all the things I do, and he is my true hero. He was the first person to be proud of my accomplishments and was very excited to keep taking me target to buy items to sell. Although he left Earth in 2022, this memory will be my favorite childhood memory.
