Today we’d like to introduce you to Leandra Rose.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Leandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For me, finding personal mastery practices was a matter of life or death. My mission as a women’s self-mastery coach is to make sure others receive the skills, tools, and support for managing stress and overwhelm before it wreaks havoc on their relationships, health, and well-being.
In college, I was suffering from anxiety, depression, and panic attacks that kept me from having healthy relationships and made it nearly impossible for me to manage my time and energy (in short, I was sick, broke, and in dysfunctional relationships). When I first realized how serious my depression had gotten, I went to my doctor for help; she prescribed pills and sent me on my way. No one told me that nutrition, lack of sleep, drug and alcohol use, stress and unresolved childhood trauma were primary factors to my dis-ease. The pills took the edge off the anxiety but now, instead of panic, I felt completely dull and depleted. That was not the vibrant and joyful life I longed for.
I became so tired of the dullness and depletion that I decided to seek out alternatives. My resolve to find a new path forward led me to the world of personal mastery and holistic health. This meant I had to look deeply at the underlying issues of my anxiety, let go of fear and take full responsibility for my life. It was hard to do because I had been physically abused as a child, felt marginalized and disempowered as the granddaughter of struggling Mexican immigrants, and now, as I went to college, I was alone and scared in a new city away from my family. There were so many traumatic experiences and limiting beliefs about myself that were running the show!
How could a struggling student like me even afford healthy foods? How was I going to get more sleep when I worked two jobs to put myself through college? How was I going to make time for self-care in all of this?
Initially, finding meditation was the turning point that took me down a path of powerful self-discovery and deep healing. From there, I became a voracious student of the healing arts; studying many healing modalities including the life-changing work of Breath of Love founded by Julia Mikk. I learned how to calm my nervous system and begin to take the reigns of my life back from anxious habits and the traumatic events of my past. This was so liberating and empowering! I knew I had to share it with others, so I became a certified mindfulness instructor and Breath of Love Advanced Facilitator to help other women find freedom from anxiety, tap into their inner peace and create a life they truly enjoy living.
Now, after ten years of facilitating powerful breakthroughs for women, I feel deeply humbled and grateful for the power of the work and witness how their lives can shift rather quickly if they only invest in themselves and commit to creating a new possibility.
Has it been a smooth road?
Thankfully, my road has been anything but smooth. I say “thankfully,” because my biggest challenges have been my greatest teachers and moving through them is what makes me such an effective coach and facilitator of transformation. Growing up in an alcoholic household, for example, and learning to navigate the chaos, the abuse and the dysfunction (with the help of my healers and spiritual teachers) taught me a lot about resilience, compassion, and connecting to the power of my own inner compass.
My bumpy road also gave me an opportunity to learn how to manage the crippling anxiety and perfectionism that came with the PTSD of being raised in a dysfunctional family system. I would not have found the life-changing value of Breath of Love work and other deep transformational practices without the impetus of my traumatic childhood. And, I would not be here changing the lives of thousands of women worldwide without those powerful tools and skills under my belt.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Leandra Rose – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As a women’s coach my work specializes in helping women reprogram limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging habits on a deep subconscious level, so they can live the most authentic, empowered and fulfilling lives possible.
Working with children and families as an early childhood educator for 15 years showed me just how desperately people need support in releasing the familial and cultural programming that keeps them stuck in fear, worry, and self-doubt.
For example, there are many ways you have taken on limiting beliefs and habits that keep you from living the life you truly desire. As a child, you picked up ideas about yourself, about life, and how to be a “good little girl or good little boy” that don’t serve you in living the most authentic empowered life possible. You don’t even need to have had a traumatic childhood. You are bombarded daily with images, messages and cultural beliefs that can push and pull you in many directions. If you don’t have a solid anchor within yourself you end up living a scattered, inauthentic life led by your subconscious limitations. These limitations are what keep you in a cycle of worry, overwhelm, and self-sabotage.
My story just goes to show that no one has to stay stuck there. However, most people, myself included, don’t find a way out of this vicious loop on their own because there are many blind spots that they can’t see and heal without the skillful support of a professional facilitator.
What makes my healing work unique is that I blend various modalities into a powerful process that helps my clients transmute pain, fear, and self-doubt into joy, courage, and empowerment.
One of the main transformational technologies I use for the deepest breakthroughs is the Breath of Love process that brings you out of your head and into your body so you can have an embodied experience of joy, freedom, and confidence. It’s not just about understanding things in theory and being full of great spiritual concepts, but actually making ease, fulfillment, and serenity your living and breathing reality.
This is why so many people come to me for help after years of talk therapy. Therapy might have helped them to a degree but did not get to the subconscious layers of their pain and unresolved trauma. So, no matter how much they know about their childhood issues, they are not able to embody the peace, freedom, and clarity they actually long to experience in their everyday reality. They are stuck in the ‘understanding’ mode instead of being able to embody and live what they most long for.
Same with massage. It’s really wonderful for relaxing the physical body. It’s helpful for letting go of pains and tensions you hold in the muscles and tissues. However, if you don’t deal with the underlying reasons why these tensions, constrictions, and pains are there, to begin with, they will keep coming back again and again.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I didn’t exactly choose to move here so it took me a while to come to love and understand this magical city. What I’ve come to appreciate is that this is a city where literally anything is possible. However, in order to tap into the wellspring of opportunities, you have to be open to surrendering to the inexplicable and harnessing the synchronicities when they arise, and they will here!
My least favorite thing about this city is that connecting with friends on the other side of the 405 can feel like a cross-country journey.
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
I envision a world where women don’t have to suffer from being violated, undervalued, unappreciated or unseen for the powerful gift they are. And, instead, are free to stand in their power, their radiance, and their freedom of self-expression.
This is more important now than ever because of the upheaval in our world and what is being revealed in the shadows of our culture especially as it relates to the treatment of women. We as women are being called to stand even more strongly in our gifts and power so that we may have a world where we can shine in our full feminine radiance without fear or judgment.
This is why I am not interested in just giving one session at a time to make a little bit of a difference in a woman’s life. I am deeply dedicated to working with those who are ready for a complete transformation. Those who are ready to say 100% YES to a new life of freedom, joy and abundance. Because the depth of limitations and conditionings women carry goes deep. It’s often even generational. It takes many sessions to fully anchor in the new alignment for ease, peace, confidence and freedom.
This is also why I am co-teaching a whole Breath of Love Certification Course with the Founder of Breath of Love, Julia Mikk, to make this profound healing work available to everyone who is fully ready to say YES to themselves in a new way.
The time is now. It’s not about just taking tiny little steps any longer. You can take huge leaps now. I believe our planet is ready for it. Our communities are ready for it. Our political climate is ready for women to rise and shine. Not just talk about it, think about it, hope for it but actually deeply and powerfully embody it.
Those who are ready for such a life-changing awakening and transformation find me and say yes to me. And, it’s a deep honor to take them on a journey that changes their lives forever. From being stuck, anxious, worrying and doubting themselves to empowered, free, vibrant and living the radiant life they desire.
