Meet Lauren Thomas of Lafayette

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Thomas

Hi Lauren , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started off as a freelance model, doing shoots for fun and developing my own portfolio after my high school senior pictures. I was later discovered by Images Model and Talent Agency and have been working with industry professionals and learning every day. I have been published worldwide and have done not only print work but commercial work. I am now opening my mind to more opportunities for learning and growth.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been an easy road in the modeling industry. In the five years that I have been in active participation in fashion shows, shoots, and commercial work there have been many disappointments. Being 5’5 in the modeling industry when everyone wants height of 5’9 and over is not easy.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am in the modeling industry but also I am in touch with my mind-body connection. As I have gotten in touch with pilates physical education and my love of psychology. I am now in the process of fusing the two together.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Don’t let fear hold you back from the passions that are calling from within your heart.
