Meet Kristina Kutsina and Natalia Teaca of Kids World Family Fun Center & Blast City Laser Tag in Agoura Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Kutsina and Natalia Teaca.

Kristina and Natalia were friends. They come from different backgrounds. Kristina was born and raised in Estonia, and came here by herself to finish last year of high school at age 17.

Natalia was born in Moldova and came to US at the age 13 with her father. Kristina is a single mother of 2 boys (ages 8&11) worked in medical field for 10 years and due to working over 60 hours and long commute barely saw her kids.

Natalia is happily married & mother of 3 kids (boys ages 2&5 and girl age 11). She worked selling commodities. At the time Kristina’s and Natalia’s paths crossed their kids were about 1, several years passed till they talked about starting business together. Kristina wanted to build a happy place where she could bring her kids to work and Natalia envisioned a place for parents and families to bond as she did not have in her childhood and was brought up her father. When opportunity came along they decided to take over an existing run down indoor playground and wanted to make it into Family Fun Center at some point in the future.

Has it been a smooth road?
In February 2014, they finally took over an existing playground which existed for almost 10 years prior to Kids World Family Fun Center.

After being open only one month, a devastating flood from pipes below the floor surface caused severe damage to the facility resulting in an immediate closure until repairs from were finalized. The center had to be rebuilt from ground up which resulted in a closure for over a year and drained savings, no funds, limited resources and borrowed money from friends the family. It was very hard for kids to go through, as many days and nights they fell asleep at work.

Grand Opening day was April 25th, 2015. The project finally came to life and changes included an upgraded climbing structure, toddler area, a modern video and redemption gaming package, relocation of the dining area, an upgraded food offering and a modest beer and wine selection for the adults. That day was filled with families who patiently waited for doors to open.

As the months went by, we realized that the area lacked entertainment for teens, tweens and adults. In 2015 it was agreed to lease the space adjacent to Kids World and build a laser tag facility called Blast City Laser Tag featuring state of the art 2 level laser tag arena, arcade and meeting/party rooms.

Laser Tag offers true interaction between family members, friends, co-workers and strangers without regard to age, size or athletic ability.

Unlike video games or movies, the experience is person to person where you can escape reality and forget about all your problems and worries.
