Hi Kimia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and knew early on that I wanted to build something of my own. Growing up in a family rooted in real estate development and luxury home remodeling, I was immersed in the art of design and the transformation of spaces. Watching homes evolve through thoughtful craftsmanship sparked a deep passion in me, not just for real estate, but for the impact it has on people’s lives.
What drives me most is connection. I love helping people navigate life-changing decisions, whether it’s finding their dream home or maximizing their investment. Being a trusted advisor, someone clients can rely on for clarity, strategy, and results, is a role I take tremendous pride in.
From a young age, I dreamed big – determined to build a brand of my own, travel the world, and one day lead in one of the most competitive industries out there. Today, I’m proud to say that vision became reality. I am the Founder and CEO of The Vakili Group, ranked in the top 1% of REALTORS® globally. In just five years, I’ve sold over $200 million in real estate, including estates priced up to $40 million – all before the age of 30.
Consistently ranked among the top 1% of Realtors nationwide by RealTrends® and The Wall Street Journal, I’ve been recognized as a “Real Estate All-Star” in Orange County, honored as a “Woman of Impact,” and named one of the “15 Power Players Under 40” shaping the future of Orange County. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not always a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am and how I operate today. In real estate, especially in the luxury market, the highs are high and the lows can be humbling. Early on, there were moments of doubt, slow seasons, and deals that fell apart at the last minute. I’ve had to learn how to stay grounded, trust the process, and remain consistent even when results weren’t immediate.
Building a name in such a competitive space takes time, grit, and resilience. There were moments where I had to get creative with marketing, invest in myself when the returns weren’t guaranteed, and constantly push to offer more value to clients. But with each struggle came growth, and now I can look back and appreciate the setbacks—they taught me how to navigate pressure, build stronger relationships, and truly hustle with heart.

I’m a luxury real estate agent specializing in high-end and serving clients who expect discretion, creativity, and real results. What sets me apart is the energy I bring to this industry. I’m proud to be part of the next generation of agents who are rewriting the playbook: younger, more innovative, and deeply tapped into both digital strategy and real relationships.
I was recently honored to be named one of “30 Under 30″ successful business owners in Southern California, and recently recognized as one of the “15 Youngest Power Players in Orange County.” This speaks to the hustle I bring every single day. I’ve even been interviewed for several luxury real estate TV features and have built trusted access to a solid VIP clientele. But beyond the accolades, I think people work with me because they feel my passion. I show up differently: I’m strategic, visual, unafraid to take bold risks, and always putting my clients first.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about LA is the energy—there’s nowhere else like it. The creativity, the ambition, the diversity. Everyone here is chasing something big, and that kind of drive is contagious. Whether it’s in entertainment, fashion, real estate, or tech, LA is a city full of visionaries, and that pushes you to constantly evolve and elevate your game. I also love how every pocket of LA has its own vibe: beachside chill, city hustle, artistic corners, you get it all.
What I like least? Honestly, it’s the inconsistency. The traffic (of course), but also how fast everything moves. In LA, you have to be grounded or you’ll get caught up in the pace. Relationships can feel transactional, and sometimes it’s hard to slow down and just be present. But even that’s taught me to value real connection, long-term thinking, and staying true to who I am in a city that’s always shifting.
