Meet Keith Parris of New York

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keith Parris.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I debut online in 2014 on Wattpad.com with my Self- titled book ‘ Amputee Story ‘ and it became an overnight sensation debuting at Number 1 on Wattpad ‘ Amputee ‘ Book Charts & Anti-bullying . And I started having a passion for makeup & Fashion and Starting working with brands like ‘ Fenty Beauty ‘
‘ Huda Beauty ‘ and many more and started modeling too with Adidas , CarterWear . & I received many awards / registrations by Queerty Pride50 for 2025, and the Native Son Class of 2025 & Out100 2020.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been an interesting Road I think coming in this industry it happened so fast and overnight I was so surprised by all the responses and this new gain attention because my whole life I was always ‘ in the shadows’ I felt like no one wanted to get to know me for me so this was all new to me . Especially with this new attention when I debut I was still in middle school transition to high school so imagine blowing up online and still going to school from 8 am to 6 .

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m know for my makeup tutorials and my passion for mental health & LGBTQ & Disability Awareness. I’m just proud of all aspects of what I do to have my love for makeup and mental health co exist is so magical to me just to showcase a product and talk about were your head space is and putting yourself first is important to me . & I think what set myself apart from others is I don’t put myself in a box there so many layers to know that I showcase online ! .

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The important lesson I learned along this journey is just staying true to who I am ! . I think in this industry the bigger you get you get distracted with the fame , the followers , money , certain type of lifestyle you’re trying to keep up . You gotta keep yourself grounded and have a good circle around you with genuine people .
