Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Lieberman
Hi Justine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I knew I would work in television since I was in high school, what I didn’t know was that I would end up following in my dad’s footsteps and work in real estate. When COVID hit in 2020 I was burnt out from about 6 years in the television industry, and I wanted more control of my life. I had my real estate license (a promise I made to my dad, Eric, when I was younger) and thought, why not work with Eric – who I always admired – and see how it goes? Well, it turns out it was the best decision I have made! I am 4.5 years into my career as a real estate agent and I absolutely love helping people find a place to call home. Working with Eric has been the greatest experience as he is an incredible mentor and has built an amazing real estate business in The Valley. Pivoting my career was the best thing I ever did for myself. I love getting to help people make good real estate decisions!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This career has a lot of imposter syndrome, especially the first few years in. When I began in real estate, there was so much to be learned and experienced – all things that take time, patience, and being a self-starter. This was a challenge for me, as I was eager to jump in and just know everything, but taking the time to truly learn and grow has been so beneficial and special. Another challenge for me is that I look younger than I am, and still deal with that struggle often as people are “surprised” that I know what I’m doing. Just today a potential client asked if I was 16 years old – haha, I’m still trying to find a way to use that to my advantage!
We’ve been impressed with Team Lieberman Real Estate, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Eric and Justine are a father/daughter real estate team who helps people sell, buy, lease, and invest in property. We service the greater Los Angeles area, and we are known for treating our clients like family. We really empower our clients to make good real estate decisions by laying out all their options and having them decide which choice is best for them. I specialize in working with clients who are content creators and first-time homebuyers, while Eric specializes in working with Sellers to strategize to get the best outcome. With us, you get the old school experience with a new fresh perspective too. We are very proud of how much we care for our clients and their assets.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I loved how much time and effort my parents would put into my birthday parties as a kid. My mom always made the cake – I remember one year she made the coolest Barbie cake – it was awesome and so impressive. Another year my dad put together from scratch a murder mystery party where we had to figure out who was the killer. Those special and thoughtful moments meant a lot to me!
