Meet Jennifer San Juan of Jennifer San Juan Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer San Juan.

Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“My journey into real estate began in a very unexpected way. At the time, I was working full-time in the medical field while raising my children as a single mother. I was in the process of purchasing my very first home and, honestly, I knew very little about real estate.

A friend of mine, who was a Realtor, was helping me through the process. While I was grateful for the guidance, I remember feeling that the experience itself was challenging and that something was missing when it came to the level of service and education I was receiving. That curiosity led me to ask her how she got started in the industry. She mentioned taking classes at a local brokerage, and I decided to attend one of their weekly trainings—not because I planned to become an agent, but simply because I wanted to better understand the home-buying process for myself.

What started as a desire for knowledge quickly turned into a passion. Eventually, I earned my real estate license, but I still wanted to learn more. I became determined to study directly under experienced brokers and owners. I began calling local brokerages one by one, asking if I could learn from the Broker/Owner personally. Most offices referred me to office managers, but I was persistent because I truly wanted mentorship from those who had built successful businesses themselves.

After many calls, one broker finally said yes—and that moment changed the trajectory of my life and career. I was taken under the wing of one of the most successful brokers in town, and that mentorship became the foundation of my business philosophy and work ethic.

At the time, I was still working full-time in the medical field while building my real estate career part-time. Despite that, I quickly became one of the top-performing agents in the area, often outselling many full-time Realtors. Much of my early business came from my coworkers—doctors, nurses, and medical staff—who already knew my dedication, integrity, and work ethic. The trust was already there, and that trust became the cornerstone of my business.

Looking back, real estate was never part of the original plan for me. But sometimes the most meaningful careers find you when you’re simply searching for knowledge, growth, and a better future for your family.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and honestly, I think that’s what shaped me the most.

When I first entered real estate, I was balancing a full-time career in the medical field while raising my only daughter as a single mother and building my business part-time. There were long days, late nights, and moments of uncertainty where I questioned whether I could truly do both successfully.

Real estate is also an industry where you constantly have to prove yourself. Early on, I was stepping into rooms where I had little experience, no large sphere of influence, and no shortcuts. I had to build everything through persistence, work ethic, and relationships. There were many sacrifices behind the scenes that people never saw—missing sleep, pushing through exhaustion, and staying committed even during difficult markets and personal challenges.

One of the biggest struggles was learning to trust myself and my instincts in an industry that can be highly competitive. But I’ve always believed that integrity, consistency, and genuinely caring for people would set me apart in the long run.

I also think being in the medical field before real estate gave me a unique perspective. It taught me compassion, patience, and how to stay calm under pressure—qualities that became invaluable when guiding clients through major life decisions.

Looking back, every obstacle taught me resilience. The challenges didn’t break me; they refined me. They shaped the way I serve my clients today—with empathy, professionalism, and a deep understanding that buying or selling a home is often tied to some of the most important moments in a person’s life.”

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
“Over the course of my two-decade career in real estate, my business has evolved organically through relationships, trust, and experience. In the first half of my career, I primarily focused on helping first-time homebuyers and first-time investors navigate the market and build wealth through real estate. Those years gave me a strong foundation and a deep understanding of the emotional and financial significance behind every transaction.

As my network and experience expanded, so did my business. Today, my focus is centered around Luxury Real Estate, Luxury Development, and International Development opportunities. I’ve positioned myself not just as a Realtor, but as a connector—someone who brings together investors, developers, builders, and visionaries to create meaningful opportunities and successful partnerships.

What sets me apart is my ability to build genuine relationships and move fluidly within different environments and levels of business. I bring a unique combination of energy, intuition, professionalism, and market knowledge that allows me to open doors and connect the right people intentionally. I understand that real estate at this level is not just about properties—it’s about strategy, relationships, timing, and vision.

One of the things I’m most proud of brand-wise is that my business has been built largely through trust, reputation, and authentic connections. People know me as someone who leads with integrity, works hard behind the scenes, and truly values creating win-win outcomes for everyone involved.

I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in more than just selling homes. It’s about creating opportunities, building long-term relationships, and helping clients align with the lifestyle, investments, and projects that support their bigger vision. Whether I’m working with a first-time buyer, a luxury client, or an international development opportunity, my goal is always the same: to bring value, elevate the experience, and create meaningful results.”

Who else deserves credit in your story?
“Without question, there are several people who played a meaningful role in both my personal journey and the success of my business.

First and foremost, I credit my beautiful mother, who is no longer here with me today. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the medical field, pursuing a career in real estate was not the traditional path. But despite that, my mother supported my decision wholeheartedly. Her belief in me gave me the confidence to step into the unknown and build a life and career that aligned with my purpose. I carry her love, strength, and encouragement with me in everything I do.

I’m also incredibly grateful for my first mentor, an amazing Russian Broker who saw potential in me before I fully saw it in myself. He taught me far more than just real estate. He challenged me to think bigger, enlarge my vision, and truly believe in my capabilities. He emphasized that success comes from work ethic, discipline, and genuinely taking care of people. Beyond business, he also taught me the importance of physical and mental well-being, lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life. I don’t even know if he realizes how profoundly he impacted me, but he helped shape the person and professional I became.

My first clients also deserve tremendous credit. Many of them were my coworkers in the medical field—doctors, nurses, and staff members who trusted me early in my career before I had years of experience behind my name. Their belief in me helped me build the foundation of my business, and many of those relationships remain deeply meaningful to me today.

And above all, my daughter has been my greatest motivation and driving force through every season of life. As a mother, there’s a different kind of purpose that comes from wanting to build a better future for your child. She inspired me to push through challenges, keep growing, and never settle. In many ways, she taught me just as much as I was trying to teach her. The strength, perspective, and unconditional love that comes with motherhood shaped the woman I am today—in business and in life.”
