Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaron Adams.
Jaron, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always loved acting, Almost like it was engraved in my brain but coming from a small town with little to no Opportunities (Eugene, Oregon) I always wanted to escape and do something bigger. Luckily that option presented itself to me when I was about 14. A traveling acting agency came through my town looking for talent. I begged my mom to give me a chance at this and luckily, she did. They loved me and very quickly I was thrown into this new world. I started taking acting classes every week preparing for a showcase that was taking place in LA. I studied hard knowing that this might very well be the only real opportunity I ever got. The time came for the Showcase in LA and I was ready. Traveling to California was a surreal experience for me. I was traveling to this magical place I had seen on TV with a plan to take it over in my back pocket. I’d like to think I did very well at the showcase and had lots of different management companies and agencies interested in signing me. Shortly after, I signed with a management company and they convinced me that I would do much better actually living out here in LA. So, my family considered it for a while and after some convincing, we made the move. I’ve now been here for about nine years and I’m happy to call this beautiful place home.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been tons of hiccups and bumps getting to where I am now. Some of the biggest things I feel like I’ve had to overcome are probably, finding myself again after a 4 1/2-year relationship fell through. Drug abuse. Losing many of my friends throughout the years to drugs and suicides, Living a whole state away from my entire family. And getting dropped from my original management company and agency and having to find new ones as an adult was quite difficult.
Please tell us about your work.
My name’s Jaron Adams and I’m an Actor/Skateboarder/Recording Artist. I have been skating since I was 7 so it has also always been a part of my life. Skateboarding taught me patience and persistence which I think helps me in all walks of life, especially acting. I started making Music last year under the name @imikuris to help me express myself a bit more. It has become my main creative outlet and I would love to continue doing it for the rest of my life.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to continue acting. Hopefully, get some cool roles, and meet some interesting people. I would also love to continue making music and bring that as far as I possibly can.
