Meet Haley Fritz of Breezys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Fritz.

Hi Haley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started Breezys in the spring of 2023 after realizing how much better I felt when I could actually breathe properly. I had struggled with allergies and a deviated septum for most of my life and assumed chronic congestion was normal until I tried a nasal strip for the first time. It immediately improved my sleep, energy, and workouts, but I hated how clinical and unattractive the strips looked.

One night while out with friends, I said, “I wish there were nasal strips that were actually cute.” On the drive home, the name Breezys came to me, and after searching everywhere for aesthetic nasal strips and finding nothing, I knew I had to create it.

While working full-time as an assistant editor in the animation industry, I spent months in my off hours designing prototypes and searching for the right manufacturer to bring my vision to life. Since launching, Breezys has grown from a side project into an aesthetic wellness brand sold online and through Urban Outfitters, helping people breathe better, sleep deeper, and feel more confident while prioritizing their breath.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but that’s part of what has made the journey so meaningful. One of the biggest early challenges was finding a manufacturer that could create a nasal strip that not only worked well, but also matched the design and aesthetic vision I had for Breezys. I went through more than ten manufacturers before finding the right fit.

As a first-time founder, I also had to learn everything from scratch while completely bootstrapping the business with my own money – financial projections, inventory planning, and cash flow – so I was constantly balancing real financial risk with imposter syndrome and the feeling of building something I had never done before. There were many moments where I had to make big decisions without having all the answers and just trust myself.

One of the most stressful periods came in 2025 when the U.S. tariffs significantly increased our costs right as we were placing our largest inventory order to date. I had to figure out ways to absorb the costs while still maintaining a positive attitude and trusting the business to move past it. In the same period, we had an issue with our packaging quantity coming in short for the biggest purchase order we ever received.

Every challenge has pushed me to become more resourceful, resilient, and confident. Building Breezys has taught me that entrepreneurship is rarely a straight line, but if you believe in what you’re creating, you can figure out a way through almost anything.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Breezys are the nasal strips that are designed to be seen. We are a cool-girl wellness brand that makes aesthetic, contoured nasal strips designed to physically open the nasal passages for better airflow while also feeling like something you actually want to wear, not something you hide.

What sets Breezys apart is that we’re not just focused on performance or just focused on design, we’re obsessed with both. Each strip is engineered with three internal lift bands for strong, effective support, but wrapped in bold, playful designs that turn a traditionally clinical product into a statement accessory. It’s wellness, but with personality.

We specialize in helping people breathe better for sleep, workouts, travel, and daily life, especially people who deal with congestion, allergies, or simply want to optimize airflow and energy. But just as importantly, we’ve built a brand that removes the stigma and awkwardness that usually comes with functional health products.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that Breezys doesn’t feel like a compromise. You don’t have to choose between something that works and something that looks good. It feels intentional, expressive, and fun, while still genuinely improving how people feel in their bodies.

Everything about Breezys started from my own experience of struggling with breathing issues and realizing how much better life felt once I finally addressed it. My goal now is to make that feeling accessible to more people, in a way that fits seamlessly into their lifestyle rather than feeling medical or hidden away.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
A lot of Breezys has been built with support from the people closest to me. My biggest cheerleader has been my boyfriend, he believed in the idea from the moment I came home bursting into our room excited about it. He’s been there through all the highs and lows, from sitting on the living room floor packing orders with me to jumping into “couple content” when I’m trying to bring the brand to life on Instagram. Having someone who just says “go for it” and shows up consistently has meant everything.

My parents have also played a huge role in shaping how I approach building Breezys. They’re both entrepreneurs, my mom is a real estate broker and my dad owns a coffee shop, so I grew up watching them build things from the ground up. My mom taught me that most things are figure-out-able, even when you don’t know where to start. My dad taught me the importance of community and finding joy in the everyday process of doing work you actually care about. Those lessons are a big part of how I run Breezys today.
