Meet Elvia Guadian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elvia Guadian.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Hi, I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico.
I learned the basics of tattooing in Mexico, but it wasn’t until I started traveling and doing conventions that I really began to learn more and developing my personal style. My father inspired me to get into the world of art, and it grew an interest to become an artist myself.

Please tell us about your art.
I’m a tattoo artist especially known for my black and grey chicano ladies as well as the Day of the dead girls. I’m very inspired by both Mexican and west coast Californian culture. My tool of choice is a rotary machine for my tattoos and graphite for my drawings; I like this because of the soft shading I can make with it.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Being lonely is a choice. Shake that feeling and look to connect with artists around the world. The Internet is a great tool to look for people that inspire us around the world and build relationships through our art, use it!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
