Today we’d like to introduce you to Elsa WANG.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began in Taipei. In 2013, I founded Bluerider ART with the mission of advancing the spirituality of contemporary art. Over the past decade, we have represented more than 50 international contemporary fine art artists, focusing on those over 50 with mature styles and stable markets, while in recent years also introducing emerging younger artists. From Taipei, we expanded to Shanghai and London, and in 2025 we opened our flagship in Los Angeles, building an art platform that now spans Asia, Europe, and America. From local curating to international gallerist, it has been a path of constant exploration and personal growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. As a second-time entrepreneur, I wanted to adapt a different mission than my first in Tech industry. I started with ideals, but challenges often came from balancing vision with market realities, navigating cross-border operations, and bridging cultural differences. Each difficulty became an opportunity to reaffirm my mission: to pursue the essence of art, to earn the trust of collectors, to walk alongside artists with respect, and to build a professional team. It has always been about holding onto ideals while grounding them in reality.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Bluerider ART is built on the values of spirituality, cross-cultural dialogue, and East–West integration. We are known for rigorous curatorial practice that weaves philosophy, literature, and art history to create exhibitions with a sense of “aura.” What sets us apart is that we go beyond commerce to embrace art as a spiritual mission and a way of life. Our proudest achievement is the “Blue Axis” concept, connecting Taipei, Shanghai, London, and Los Angeles into a cultural route for contemporary art.
My strength lies in creative vision and aesthetic judgment. I am committed to discovering and presenting fine art artists who dedicate their lives to creation, offering their works to collectors to enrich both their lives and perspectives. Over the years, my team and I have built a reputation for this commitment.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We frequently engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations, aiming to bring fine art beyond gallery walls and into everyday life, where it can inspire truth, beauty, and goodness. People can connect with us through exhibitions, collecting, BlueClub programs, or collaborative projects that expand art’s reach and resonance.
