Meet Edwin Saghian of Omega Law Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edwin Saghian.

Edwin Saghian

Hi Edwin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The importance of hard work and dedication was instilled in me since I was young.  Having seen the struggles that my parents faced adapting to a foreign country, I wanted to channel the discipline and work ethic I learned from them in helping those who had difficulties with breaking through systemic barriers. The passion I have for serving people is what got me through many of the challenges in my law career. It served as a guidepost that eventually led me to found Omega Law Group with my brother Robin, our best friend Shahab, and his wife Gabriella. In our practice, we stay firm in our mission of obtaining justice on behalf of everyday injured people who have been exploited by greedy insurance companies.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been anything but a smooth road. Having a career as a lawyer is a beast to tackle on its own, especially with everything I’ve had to do just to get my foot in the door. Being an entrepreneur on top of that has been extremely difficult.

Founding a law firm, I essentially had to master every aspect of pre-litigation and litigation, as well as things like marketing and HR. I’ve also had to make sure I’m always available to ease external and internal conflicts. Adding on to the pressures of staying afloat while wading through unexpected curveballs along the way —like the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 — it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and overstimulated.

But my co-founders and I are determined to keep going. There are a lot of people relying on us — our clients, our employees, our families. Fortunately for us, we have developed a team of people we can trust, and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am one of the founding partners of Omega Law Group, a personal injury law firm. A lot of the cases we handle deal with rideshare, trucking, and motorcycle collisions. It could get extremely difficult to negotiate and litigate them as the insurance policy limits of the parties involved often vary. There are also other factors that could further complicate the outcome of the case like the severity of the injury, property damage, wage loss, etc.

We started the firm in 2016, and we went from having two employees to employing over a hundred people. It’s only been a few years, but I’m excited to see how far we will go. We are currently in the process of integrating AI technology to streamline our caseload, further helping our clients get the justice they deserve. We are constantly looking for ways to innovate and keep up with current advances in technology, and I think that is what separates us from the rest of the crop. We really pride ourselves on being a true tech-forward personal injury law firm.

What matters most to you?
Our clients. Founding Omega Law Group has always been guided by my fervent desire to make a difference in people’s lives. As I mentioned before, it was hard to see my parents struggle with adjusting to the customs of this country while raising three children. To finally be in a position where I could help people who are typically of disadvantaged backgrounds makes all the stress that comes with my job worth it. I rest easy at night knowing that I’m instrumental in improving the lives of people who are owed justice but are usually never able to get it without a firm like ours by their side. I’m glad I can be that person for them.
