Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Saenz.
Hi Diana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Having three kids, I felt that I had to give my kiddos all of me, never really taking time to myself, every mom knows the story of sleepless nights, eating whatever you can scarf down in between diaper changes, and drop-offs, for me the only physical activity was carrying around the laundry basket or my son in a carrier. After a health scare in 2014, I wanted to take my health Into my own hands and control what I could like physical activity, diet, and the most healthy way to live. I started running, and slowly started incorporating weights into my exercise routine, and changed my diet to veganism. I fell in love with how my body changed and how I felt. I joined a local gym and saw how strength training can transform you and when someone new joined I found myself gravitating to them to help them. That feeling of helping someone who is new and wanting to get healthy for different reasons made me feel amazing.
I changed my major and went back to school, graduated with an AA in Kinesiology Exercise and Health, an AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Certified health and wellness coach, and a Certified Personal Trainer both through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a leader in personal training certification as well as holding a specialization in women’s fitness. I worked at a small fitness studio where I quickly was promoted to Lead Trainer, it was there I found my calling I had this connection to helping women, many of whom shared many characteristics like me, to want to be better for their families but more importantly for themselves. It was around that time I read an article that gave an interesting statistic that 7/10 women felt some uncomfortable way or were approached in the gym or felt uneasy by the opposite sex. For many women that encounter stalled their quest to start physical activities this prom[pted me to start a Womens Fitness Studio, Trubliss Fitness a place founded on helping women find empowerment through physical fitness, leading to better mental and physical wellness and helping them become the best version of themselves!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I knew going into this that it would be a journey, with several obstacles like having a small capital injection, new to entrepreneurship, a new graduate and being a Female Latina. But with the help of so many amazing non-profit support centers, Inland Empire/Coachella Valley Womens Business Center, Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, National Association Women Business Owners IE, National Latina Business Women I.E., my local Small Business Association and community lender Ampac Business, Ontario Ca. These organizations offered so many resources and programs to help entrepreneurs start their businesses, with their amazing programs and workshops it gave me all of the tools I needed to have a solid foundation. The road had some bumps with funding taking longer than I anticipated and the possibility of losing my location were stressful but ultimately everything worked out! It was great to purchase everything our clients would be using, involving our IG audience in watching us build our studio even having them choose the color of the studio.
As you know, we’re big fans of Trubliss Fitness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Attend as many events as you can, help others and accept help from other business owners. Score Mentors was amazing; they connected me with an amazing mentor which we meet monthly and she guides me through all things business. Along my journey I attended a workshop and met a local businesswoman Maritza, she is amazing and has first-hand knowledge about running a business she has been fabulous, she is a business counselor at the Woman’s Business Center and I can’t thank her enough.
