Meet Diana Rinatovna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Rinatovna.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I went to the gym for the first time in Russia and when I was running on a treadmill, I saw on TV girls who were performing fitness bikinis, and I immediately thought that I would! I went up to the coach and said that I want it this way, he said that it is impossible to start from beginning and it will take several years to achieve such results. I was very depressed, but in my heart I believed that someday I would be there.

After I graduated from college, I moved to St. Petersburg and started my new life.

At that time, I could not afford a trainer and decided to go learn how to use the gym machines myself and get in shape. I worked as a shop assistant and earned money to study at Fitness College. I earned myself for my first fitness course and from this new adventures of my life began! I was so motivated that I decided to find the following competition in St. Petersburg and try to participate in them. It was an incredible breakthrough for me to discover a new self! I did this and took part in my first competition and took 50th place among 500 girls. This was an indicator for me and I decided to move further in this direction…

Then I worked in a fitness gym and gain experience…

After two years of work in St. Petersburg, I moved to the USA, NY

Found courses on fitness and how to become a personal trainer and pursue my career.

After completing the course, I got a job at Equinox, which is the largest gym chain in America. I worked on Wall Street, studies are completely different from the Russian one.

After New York, I moved to South Carolina and accidentally ended up in a gym where the owner of the gym invited me to participate in a competition, she said that I was in good shape and had great chances to win!

And I started to prepare for SNBF with her support!

At the same time, I rented a gym from her and started teaching group workouts for girls.

My first competition in America was very exciting, it took six months to prepare.

I became the overall champion of South Carolina in my first SNBF FITNESS BIKINI COMPETITION.

And then there were the next competition between PRO ATHLET in Atlanta and I took 3rd place. Was so happy and proud of myself!

This is how it all started…

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not really smooth, I went through so many obstacles to get where I am today. The one thing: Whatever your dream is, you CAN do it if you stay the course and put one foot in front of the other. That’s the key. That’s the whole secret right there. The whole enchilada. Take one step at a time. Things will come up along the way and make you feel like you’re crazy and you’ll never reach your dream. But you will. If you stay consistent with each step working toward it.

So, when I’m asked how did I get to where I am today, it’s a long, drawn-out story, but it all comes down to steps. Goals.

I make a goal of what I want, I take the steps to get to my goal. When I reach my goal, I make a new goal and take new steps to reach that goal.

You can HAVE your dreams, no matter how big they are. But you need to make them. And it’s okay if your dreams change and even get bigger.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

This is a hobby of mine that I started practicing right after my arrival in America.

What makes me apart from others:
Exhibiting Optimism…
Being Kind…
Being Intellectually Curious…
Developing a Strong Work Ethic…
Possessing Empathy and Self-Awareness…
Having Integrity…
Being a Person of Your Word…
Having Good Follow-Up Skills.
Think Positive!

What were you like growing up?
I want to be a good person. “Is that all”, you say? Well, I’ll explain a bit more about it.

Ever since I was little, so many people have asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was small, I had many ideas. At the age of 7–8, I either wanted to be a singer or a princess and when I was about 9–11, I either wanted to be either a hairstylist, actress.

But right now, things have changed. I’ve had so many different interests over the years — traveling, acting, dancing, social media influencer, businesswoman, skydiver and etc…

Never like to work for someone, so I work for myself.

However, I have an idea of the impression that I want to give on people once I grow up. The feeling that people get once they take notice of the work I’ve done.

I just want to be the best person I could possibly be.

I want to be helpful.

I want to make people’s days.

I want to have fun with my passions.

I want to be kind, selfless, positive.

I want to do something that I’ll be remembered by so many people for in a positive way.

In other words, I want to be better than the person I am right now. That’s what I want to be when I grow up.
