Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana T. Sorey

Dana T., we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Dana T. Sorey, I am a Grammy nominated, Dove Award winning Music producer, songwriter and arranger born in New Jersey. I started my roots writing songs for gospel and R&B artist.. I then formed my entertainment company, C Bazz Entertainment’s.C Bazz Entertainment’s capabilities include providing production, not only for records, but also commercial music. In 2018, I built an exclusive recording studio in Delaware, known as, “C Blake Studios” An oasis for creativity. I then collaborating with Christian artists, such as Grammy Award-winning Christian Artist Francesca Battistelli, Love and the Outcome, and About a Mile, to mention a few. One of his proudest works includes R&B Boys II Men’s “Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing”, which was chosen to be the theme song for the first season of America’s Next Top Model. I am a music fan, first, then a music creative. My story is all built on my faith and my hard work which led me to be in circles with top notch faith based artist.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It is never a smooth road anywhere when running a business. Some struggles that stand out to me were more patient driven. I have embraced that polishing your skill set takes time. I am a huge believer in, what you start, you must finish”. COMPLETION IS KEY!! I have also been in spaces where I wasn’t valued. It is not a good feeling. So removing myself from those spaces was a vital sacrifice I was willing to take. I try to reside in spaces where I am celebrated and not under-valued.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Here is some small accomplishments below:
Gospel music Producer, Writer and Arranger, 3x Dove Award Winner, 3x ASCAP Songwriter Award Recipient, and Multiple Stellar Award Winner. Dana has garnered several Grammy nominations for producing and co-writing with top gospel artists such as Tye Tribbett, Brian Courtney Wilson, Anthony Brown, Gene Moore and Marvin Sapp. Most recently, he participated as a co-producer for Adam Blackstone’s Grammy-nominated jazz album, “Legacy: The Instrumental Jawn”. Dana has held #1 positions for Top Gospel Billboard AirPlay Songs & Albums with artists such as Jason Nelson, Maranda Curtis, Brian Courtney Wilson and many more.
