Meet Corinne Sill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corinne Sill.

Hi Corinne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always worked out and been in sports my whole life. I was in dance, gymnastics, softball, and volleyball. I played on a travel softball team as a pitcher. Ever since college I always had a personal trainer and loved to work out. But nothing has changed my body and given me abs for the first time like pilates. I had been taking pilates on a reformer at Carrie’s Pilates Plus for six years before I got certified myself. It is my therapy. It helps me mentally, physically, and emotionally. I absolutely love the workout and learning new moves. At first, I was worried if I turned my passion into work I would not love it as much. My friend, Liz, pushed me to do it, and I am so grateful I did. I am such a natural at it and it comes so easy to me. It brings me so much joy helping others feel better about themselves and pushing them to do their best and get stronger. My favorite text is when a client tells me their posture is better, their stomach is flatter, their back pain is gone, and how much stronger they are. My strengths are explaining the move and where they should feel it at in their body. I love to challenge my clients to be their best selves in all capacities. Watching newbies conquer the technique after a few weeks of coming to my class is such a gift of joy.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly, so far it has been a very smooth road for me in pilates. I immediately got hired at two awesome and busy studios and love my clients at each place. I also have a handful of private clients that I adore training, it has become the highlight of my day and made great friends. You can take my classes at Carrie’s Pilates Plus on La Cienga and Melrose or Pilates Platinum in Hollywood and Brentwood.

I do have a clothing and jewelry line as well that has all my struggles lol. That’s a whole other story.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have a clothing, jewelry, and perfume line called Corinne Kay Collection that I am so proud of. I put so much into and have learned dramatic lessons from doing it all on my own financially and without a mentor. I don’t suggest doing it that way, but it is such a passion of mine and I love what I made.

As for my pilates training practice, I think my attention to detail and being able to multi-task many things at once while giving my positive energy away is what makes me shine. I am able to modify for multiple people at once and think on the spot to give the best experience to each client. I have so many clients after class asking me for my schedule and when and where they can come to my classes. It truly fills my cup and makes my day.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Just do it! I kept putting it off not knowing how I would feel about it. Worst case, I was going to strengthen my practice and learn more knowledge and critique my form. You don’t need to wait until you are “ready.” It is so much fun and such a great workout!
