Meet Coach Kee of Tarzana/Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coach Kee.

Hi Coach, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From Vision to Transformation: The Story of Coach Kee

Eighteen years ago, Coach Kee set out on a mission to redefine what children’s fitness could be. Recognizing a gap in traditional programs, she envisioned a space where kids wouldn’t just work out, they would grow stronger physically, emotionally, and socially. What began as Coach Kee’s Fun Fitness with just four dedicated coaches has now evolved into Coach Kee’s 360 Training, a holistic program that serves children of all abilities and backgrounds. At the heart of this transformation is the respect and encouragement that Coach Kee instills in every child, fostering whole-child development. This care and support have transformed countless young lives and inspired a community committed to helping every child thrive.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been enriching, but far from smooth. In the early years, one of the biggest challenges was overcoming limited resources; we didn’t have a dedicated space, equipment, or funding. Yet, we were determined to provide high-quality training for every child who walked through our doors. As our program grew, we faced the challenge of educating families and communities about the importance of whole-child fitness, helping them understand that physical activity, emotional resilience, and social development all go hand in hand.

Another struggle was navigating the needs of children with varying abilities, from competitive athletes to kids with ADHD or autism. This required constant innovation, specialized training, and building a team that shared the same passion and patience. There were moments when sustaining the vision felt overwhelming, but every breakthrough, every child gaining confidence, every parent and guardian seeing transformation reminded me why I started this journey.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder of Coach Kee’s 360 Training, a children’s fitness and wellness program that takes a whole-child approach to development. We don’t just train kids to be stronger or faster; we help them build confidence, emotional resilience, and lifelong healthy habits. Our programs are highly adaptable and can be tailored to meet each child exactly where they are, whether they’re athletes preparing for competition, kids overcoming social or emotional challenges, or children with ADHD or autism who need a supportive, patient environment.

My specialty lies in bridging the gap between physical fitness and personal growth. Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of training hundreds of children and teens. What I’m most proud of isn’t just the athletic milestones they achieve, but the significant boost in self-esteem, respect, and belief in themselves that they experience.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach to child development. Every session is meticulously designed not only to build cardiovascular health, strength, and agility, but also to instill teamwork, sportsmanship, and coping skills that children can carry far beyond the gym. Families trust us because they know we lead with love, patience, and an unwavering belief in each child’s potential.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I grew up a foster kid. My mother died when I was 4 years old, and I never met my father.
