Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Godard.
Claire Godard is a single mother and comes from a hardworking background that started on the east coast in Virginia, where her family has successfully been in the restaurant business. After high school, she went to college to study communications. She decided to leave her family in Virginia and relocate to California to not only pursue her childhood dream of becoming a model but also to help find her true self.
While she felt like she needed a break from modeling, she tried her hand at some other professions such as a firefighter, a hairdresser and even followed in the steps of her family by becoming a restaurant owner. While she learned and grew from each of these professions, she always knew her passion was in beauty and fashion.
Creating a unique vision at The Code of Style has been the result of Claire’s extensive experience working with brands combined with an educational background from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
The current face of many fashion brands and a guest speaker, Claire is featured on popular labels such as Modeliste Magazine, Naluda Magazine, a Book of, The Influence, Fox, and more.
Purpose is women empowerment, positive reminder that we can do it all! Take the first step in believing in yourself, and the rest is history.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been one heck of a roller coaster ride! I started The Code of Style as an online diary to document and share my journey as a newly single mom-to-be. I sure have my fair share of struggles and maybe a bit more…
The number one struggle/question I asked myself was: how to be a good mother – best that I can be, and how do I get my career back? How do I manage all of this; all on my own? It did take some time for me to find balance. With dedication, time, and perseverance I soon managed to do it all, and I am very proud of where I have come from!
There is no obstacle too big that we can’t overcome. If there is a will, there is a way! My purpose is to inspire women to go after their dreams and make it into a reality. Let’s take the first step together!

What sets The Code of Style is our mission and goal. Our goal is to motivate, inspire, and spread love to women and mostly single mothers with our page.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far was taking the first step to pursue my dream. The Code of Style, founded in 2012.
