Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Pitsicalis.
Hi Chris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I was a little kid, I was into music, fashion, dance, art, etc. I remember putting on shows with my friends and re-creating music videos with a huge heavy 90’s camcorder! My mom must’ve noticed and signed me up for dance classes without me knowing! Since then I’ve traveled the world dancing with Norwegian Cruise Line, move to Los Angeles and danced for Paula Abdul, Ru Paul’s Drag Race and Todrick Hall. I love dance but I know I’m capable of more than just being a dancer. I started posting on Tik Tok as a create outlet during the pandemic and my videos started to blow up. I became an overnight influencer on accident!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not. I moved to LA with one suitcase, a Nespresso machine and a dream. That’s all I had! I was bumming on my friend’s couch for a bit until I slowly started to find work. I think anyone who has a dream in the entertainment industry understands how much of a rollercoaster ride we’re constantly on. Mental health, finances, and time management are still some things I struggle with.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I wear many hats. Chris Pitsicalis- Dancer, Content Creator, Influencer, Choreographer, Model, Actor, Creative Director. I can’t help it! I love anything in the arts and I’m fascinated by it. Plus a coin is a coin and I got bills to pay. Lol! Currently, I’ve been doing a lot of social media brand deals. I write, create and edit all of my own content. I’ve worked for big brands, including Target, Crunch Fitness, Warner Music and was recently put on Madonnas PR list! Crazy!
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love how airy it feels to live here if that makes sense? The weather, stress-free lifestyle, health consciousness of it all, endless opportunities and possibilities, etc. Being born and raised in New York (Queens and Long Island) there’s this thing where your friends become your family members. It’s not as common in LA and that’s something I really miss.
