Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Adona.
Hi Chloe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The arts and creativity are at the center of my soul, and I have channeled this through acting, singing, and songwriting! I started acting professionally in 2018 when I was ten years old and have booked some amazing projects as an actress. My work as an actor, singer, and songwriter have grounded me in my love for the arts and creative self-expression. I won’t discuss details about my acting projects during this interview as I stand in solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike.
I’m excited to share that fashion is another way I channel my creative energy. My fanbase and followers have grown as a result of my acting projects. It’s awesome to see how my social media followers have embraced my love for styling outfits. It’s even more exciting to know that I am able to inspire my followers to seek out similar looks for themselves. I want to showcase that great style doesn’t necessarily require expensive high-end brands; it’s about putting together outfits that reflect your personality and make you feel confident.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The current SAG-AFTRA strike is one of the biggest challenges in the entertainment industry today. I fully support the cause behind the strike and am hopeful that the outcome will result in safer working conditions and fair pay practices for actors. Fortunately, I am able to pivot my focus outside of acting in other areas I am passionate about, which are singing/songwriting and fashion.
I’m still fairly new to showcasing my passion for fashion. I don’t have thousands and thousands of followers like others in this space, so it can be tough pitching myself for collaborations with bigger brands. I know it just takes time, and with my love for fashion, I am cherishing the experiences on this journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
One of my most recent and proudest accomplishments is my collaboration with Evelyn’s Grace, a women-owned online fashion boutique with shops in Michigan and North Carolina. This is how it happened. I approached the workers at their pop-up shop with a playful complaint about too many cute outfits. I thought this would be a brilliant way to break the ice and start a conversation. I credit my improv acting coaches for this skill. LOL! I guess it was a memorable and amusing moment for me and the co-owner, Viviane since we have embarked on this awesome fashion collaboration. My mom usually inquires about collab opportunities on my behalf. However, she wasn’t there for this one. This is a big deal for me as a 14-year-old because I showed myself that I am able to exercise my entrepreneurial side and pursue opportunities on my own.
Under my fashion label, ThaliA. (yes, with a period), I curated and designed a back-to-school collection for 2023, alongside Evelyn’s Grace. The name ThaliA. is significant to me, as it’s derived from a portion of my middle name, Natalia, which is also my late great-grandmother’s name. It adds a personal touch and a sense of heritage to my brand.
ThaliA. x Evelyn’s Grace’s back-to-school collection was launched on August 1 and is now available online. To reach a wider audience, I’m actively promoting the collection on my Instagram page, where I offer style inspiration and exclusive discount codes. The world of beauty and fashion has always been a platform for me to showcase my creativity and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for style.
On the acting side, I’ve had opportunities to work on reputable TV series and feature films with A-listers. As a singer/songwriter, I released my first single, “In My Dreams”, at 11 years old and donated proceeds to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. My 2nd single, “Villain”, was released in Aug. 2022. It is so rewarding to know that my music has positively impacted so many people from food-deprived communities to teens overcoming mental health issues. It means so much to me to get DMs from people telling me how my music has changed their lives for the better. It confirms that I’m doing what I am meant to do.
