Meet the Co-owner of C&C Party Rentals in Inglewood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chinye Azinge.

C & C Party Rentals is named after the mother-daughter duo, Chibby & Chinye. It began with my mom, Chibby’s love of event planning- her sense of style, elegance, and niche for adding personal touches to anything she created. She was everyone’s party planning diva- from coordinating her brother’s wedding abroad from start to finish, to her mother’s 70th and sister’s 50th birthday celebrations; she was the “go to gal” for all things party!

Chinye – kick things off for us – where does this story begin?

My desire to plan events actually began when I planned my own baby shower. I was very controlling over everything being perfect and how I envisioned that I really didn’t let my friends help (laughs!). While daunting for most, I enjoyed every minute of the process including picking my shower theme and color choices, venue selection and layout, food options, and shopping for decorations. It was then that I realized my love and dedication to planning an event meticulously from start to finish. A perfectionist at best, I prides myself on details and making sure everyone enjoys my creations.

Together, our shared interests manifested into a partnership to create C & C Party Rentals!!!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
A few years back when we first got started, getting business rolling was very difficult. Besides word of mouth, I was advertising through Craigslist and PennySaver and passing out business cards and flyers. There wasn’t a huge social media platform for businesses as there is now, so getting the word out about my business was the toughest obstacle. Most of my earlier clients were friends and family. Also, I was working full-time so I couldn’t really devote a lot of time to networking and branding the company so business was very slow. To make matters worse, we wasted money on renting a storefront that didn’t have the best location and easiest storage area for our inventory.

Since then, we’ve become savvier, freeing up a lot more time for networking events and advertising opportunities via various social networks and other marketing tools, and leaving no stones unturned with pulling in new clientele.

C & C Party Rentals is the ultimate party destination for all of your party needs. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and affordable rental options for every client. We work with all budget ranges and our pricing is catered to your specific requests and event needs.

We offer decorative rentals, day-of coordination, sweets services such as custom candy buffets and desserts, centerpieces, balloon arrangements, event & party coordination, day of coordination, and basic party rentals. We can even provide vendors in food catering, entertainment, and valet services. We cater to just about every type of event including, but not limited to quinceaneras. Baby showers, sweet 16, corporate events, weddings, fashion shows, launch parties, anniversaries, bat/bar mitzvahs, bridal showers, champagne parties, custom photo frames.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, success is a never ending journey. In my business it means making my clients visions come true. The parameters increase as I accomplish a goal, or complete an event. I never stop learning how to create with my hands. I definitely wouldn’t call myself artistic, but I learned recently that there’s a lot of creativity festering within me that I’m slowly getting out and I really enjoy what I come up with. Being creative also brings me spiritual happiness. Knowing that my clients are ecstatic with my work and the compliments and referral follow; that’s success in my eyes!
