Meet Candra Yarbrough of Ladi Of Pearls

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candra Yarbrough.

Candra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Around 2007 my family and I moved from North Chicago IL to Florence Al to help take care of my beloved mother who’s health was very challenging at the time. I continued working in the medical field while being a wife, mother, up and coming author, I was very active in my church, taking online college classes and as mentioned, taking care of my mother.

I remember one day sitting outside in my car crying out to God saying, “Lord, all of this is too much for me, please take away anything that is not in your will for my life. It’s safe to say that we must be careful what we pray for because a week later my first book was released at 2:30 pm and I was fired from my job at 3:30 pm, I was going through in my marriage, going through in my body, my mother was in and out of the hospital and I felt like I was going crazy.

Fast forward after traveling with my book, I remember praying to God asking Him to order my NEXT steps and all night long that particular night I dreamed like crazy! God showed me myself running a ‘One Stop Shop” from the paint on the walls to the carpet on the floor. The next day I sat at my desk and I grabbed my son’s crayons and notebook and I drew out everything that God had shown me. As the days went on, I began looking and building and praying asking God that if THIS was He would continue to show me! Along story short, after stressing HOW I would pay for this store, God placed me in a store what EVERYTHING He has shown me in the dream. A Pastor prayed for me that I had never met before and he told me that I was a trendsetter and I could not do what everyone else was doing and that was always stuck with me. As I mentioned about the One Stop Shop, It really happened! Hats, heels, jewelry, handbags, pantyhose and so much more.

In 2013, my mother passed away unexpectedly and I fell into a state of depression and I no longer had a desire to operate my store and ever since then, I’ve been operating my business as an online boutique.

As time went on, I knew that I had my hands in a lot and I was asked the question, “what was I most passionate about when it came to my business” and I expressed “it’s the pearls” Pearl makes me happy and give me peace! I believe that every pearl has a journey and a story and I was the first partaker! I’ve been so much that I definitely don’t have enough time to discuss but the blessing is that I don’t look like what I’ve been through! Everything that was designed to take me out, destroy me and shame me BUILT ME! I’m passionate about pearls because a pearl goes through such a harsh process BUT the blessing for me is that in the end something beautiful and amazing is released. I study the process of a pearl and what the different colors represent and it’s a beautiful thing.

As the years have gone on, I’ve been blessed to run a very successful business, God knows that it hasn’t been easy but because its GOD it’s been a blessing.

Has it been a smooth road?
I can honestly say that this journey has been pretty smooth, I LOVE what I do and the support that LadiOfPearls and myself have is amazing! I’ve wanted to give up many days because I’ve struggled with balancing business, parenting, ministry and a 9-5. I love what I do, and I stand firm in KNOWING that when your passionate about what God has called you too and if you take care of his children, God will take care of you!

My business is Ladi Of Pearls. I sell beautiful peals and so much more. I specialize in Pearls and I am known for teaching women what the different pearls represent. I am most proud of the amazing support and connections that I have across the nation. What sets me apart? Many people are selling just to make extra money… I PRAY over all of my pieces and anoint them with oil. I’m my supporters Personal Pearl Pusher! Pushing pearl for purpose to remind women across the world that we are beautiful, bold, strong and that we can not be easily broken.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I don’t look at “the city” because Goad has called my business to the nations!
