Meet Brooklin Davis of Roman Aroma in Redondo Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklin Davis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Brooklin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since I moved to Los Angeles, I noticed that coffee shops here are very different from those of Italy. I prefer the more social able and relaxing, warm environment when enjoying my coffee, rather than simply picking up my drink and leaving. This is the reason I was excited to start working with Francesco, the owner, as his assistant back in January of last year: to make this dream come true. We are a year into this beautiful dream and I never want to wake up from it.

Has it been a smooth road?
The beginning was tough. We were still trying to get our name out into the public and let people know where we were. Business was fairly slow in the beginning months of opening. However, as the months pass, I feel the business itself only thrives. Our traffic of customers increases, along with the word of mouth spreading around much quicker.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Roman Aroma – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our café is a modern, Italian café that serves real espresso, freshly baked pastries, gelato, Panini and more. Our espresso is imported directly from Rome, along with all of our retail items. We are exclusively famous for our cannoli, as well as our cappuccino. What makes me so proud of our company is the fact that we have customers from all over the world who are very pleased with what we have done. We are constantly complimented on how they feel as if they are actually sitting in a café in Rome.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the fact that Los Angeles is a very diverse city, and I am able to see and experience the life of many different cultures here. I would say the only thing I dislike about this city is that I notice people prefer to stick to what they know here, instead of being open to trying something different, such as shops or restaurants.
