Meet Beth Haney of Luxe Aesthetic Center in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Haney.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started Luxe Aesthetic Center in 2006 and we have become the most successful cosmetic dermatology practice in North Orange County because we practice evidence-based care and have the most experienced providers and staff. I started off working in Beverly Hills and eventually decided to open my own practice because I felt a responsibility to my home community to provide excellent care using FDA approved aesthetic treatments. In 2006 – 2008 there was a huge increase in the “medspas” and many people thought they could make big profits without providing high quality care. Business people and others saw an opportunity to create a business that could affect their bottom line but many did not have the patient’s best interest in mind and/or followed poor business models. Eventually, most were forced to close. Being a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) and nurse practitioner (NP), I understand the value of providing excellent care to patients and my ultimate goal was to reach out to the community and become successful by providing the best treatments and care in the entire area. After over 11 years of success, we are still growing – we recently hired an additional NP and front office receptionist.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle along the way was the economic downturn of 2007 – 2008. I had recently opened the practice and was just starting to get profitable when the financial crisis occurred. Luxe continued to grow, albeit more slowly, and we made it through those difficult years. Other than that, we are a great team and most of the employees are charter employees save the newest hires.

Luxe Aesthetic Center is a non-surgical cosmetic dermatology and wellness practice and we specialize in skin care and reversing the effects of aging. We plump lips, cheeks, sculpt the jawline, smooth hollows under the eyes, resurface sun damaged skin, reduce brown spots, provide hydrafacials and laser treatments to reduce hair, and many other treatments as well. In addition, we see general dermatology patients and treat acne, excessive sweating, rashes, allergic reactions as well as provide expert consultations regarding topical skin care regimens. I am most proud of our company’s excellent reputation for being the best aesthetic practice in the area – honest, effective, qualified, staff with beautiful outcomes and happy patients that include actors, physicians, policemen and women, DEA agents, and even our state regulatory board members. This type of varied clientele speaks to our reputation and reach of our service. The fact that 2 of the NPs are professors at well-known and highly respected universities is another thing that sets us apart. In addition, I serve as an expert in aesthetics and general practice for attorneys and have also contributed 2 chapters in a dermatology nursing textbook and wrote my own book on aesthetic treatments called Be You-T-Ful: Looking Your Best with Botox, Lasers and other Magical Cosmetic Treatments.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the variety of things to do in LA and OC. I also love the different lifestyles and cultures! do not like the congestion and traffic!
