Meet Anna Amaon of Aerins Energy & Sound Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Amaon.

Hi Anna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2019, I began my journey out of addiction. At first, I leaned into traditional recovery programs—they gave me structure and support. But as I moved forward, I felt the need for something deeper—something that could help me reconnect with my body, spirit, and sense of peace.

That’s when I discovered sound healing. My first sound bath was unexpected and powerful. The vibrations moved through me in a way nothing else had. My anxiety softened, my sleep improved, and slowly, I began to feel safe in my body again.

Not long after, I was introduced to Reiki. Through those gentle, intuitive sessions, I began releasing emotional weight I didn’t even know I was carrying. Reiki helped me rebuild trust in myself and brought me a quiet clarity I had been missing.

Today, at almost six years sober—and now the owner of Aerin’s Energy and Sound Healing, where I offer the same tools that helped me heal. Recovery, for me, wasn’t just about breaking free from addiction—it was about finding my frequency, and helping others find theirs.

I offer personalized one-on-one sessions or group-level workshops and classes in Reiki, Sound Healing, and Energy Education tailored to meet your individual needs. I also love working with like-minded people and collaborating to create meaningful experiences. This includes hosting community gatherings, private events, workshops, and immersive retreats designed to deepen your healing journey and foster connection.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At just six months sober, the world shut down—COVID had arrived, and everything changed. I was living in a sober living house at the time, and like so many others, we had to get creative to stay grounded and connected. That period of stillness and uncertainty is when I truly began to explore meditation. It started as a way to connect with my roommates, and part of the 12-step program we worked but quickly became a powerful tool for inner clarity. For the first time, I wasn’t just sitting in silence—I was learning how to be present with myself.

Throughout my journey, I’ve had people very close to me who have faced their own very scary struggles with mental health. Walking alongside them has taught me so much about the complexity of healing and the different forms it can take. Their experiences have deepened my empathy, expanded my understanding, and reminded me that everyone’s path looks different—and that’s okay.

As you know, we’re big fans of Aerins Energy & Sound Healing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m the owner of Aerin’s Energy and Sound Healing, where I offer holistic healing experiences that combine sound therapy, Reiki, and meditation to support emotional, energetic, and spiritual well-being. I work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, emotional blockages, stress, or recovery, and help them reconnect with themselves through energy-based practices that are both gentle and deeply transformative.

I specialize in intuitive Reiki healing and vibrational sound therapy using crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and voice. Sessions are designed to bring the nervous system into a state of deep rest, helping clients release stuck energy, reconnect with their intuition, and experience a sense of peace that many haven’t felt in years.

What I’m most proud of is how my own recovery journey has shaped my work. Having come through addiction and rediscovered myself through these very modalities, I bring not only training and skill—but lived experience, compassion, and authenticity. Many of my clients say they feel safe, seen, and truly held during our sessions, and that means everything to me.

What sets me apart is my deep empathy, intuitive approach, and my ability to create a grounded, non-judgmental healing space. This work isn’t about fixing people—it’s about helping them remember who they are beneath the noise. I don’t just guide sessions—I walk alongside my clients in their healing, because I’ve been there too.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been fortunate to have many incredible teachers and mentors along my journey. One of the first was Linda Dressel, the owner of the sober living home where I began my recovery. Linda’s support and leadership laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Another pivotal influence has been Dr. Gemma Anadya, who introduced me to the power of holistic treatment and taught me to approach this work with deep reverence and integrity. Her teachings helped me understand healing as a sacred, whole-person process.

I’ve also had the guidance of several Reiki Masters, each of whom has supported and shaped my path with energy healing. Among them is Gabrielle, the owner of Eternally Rooted, who has played a transformative role in my life. Her Sacred Sounds Sound Healing course was truly life-changing—it deepened my practice and gave me a new way to connect with others through vibration and frequency. Gabrielle has also been a mentor and guide in my work with Hapé and Sananga, helping me explore these sacred plant medicines with intention, respect, and care.

My daughter Myka. Her middle name is Aerin, and she is my greatest “why.” Her presence in my life has been a constant source of inspiration, strength, and purpose. When it came time to name my business, it felt only right to honor that connection. Aerin’s Energy is not just a name—it’s a reflection of the love, light, and intention that guide everything I do.

I’m incredibly blessed to have a family that never gave up on me. Throughout my journey, their love and support never wavered—they didn’t want perfection; they just wanted me healthy. I’ll never forget something my sister Tara once said to me: “I just want you healthy—mind, body, and spirit.” That simple but powerful statement has stayed with me ever since. It became a quiet mantra during my healing process and still reminds me of what truly matters.

I’m deeply grateful for my partner, Rob, whose patience and unwavering support have been my backbone over the past two years. His steady presence and belief in me have made all the difference on this journey, providing strength when I needed it most.
