Meet Angela Yanez-Gaitan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Yanez-Gaitan.

Angela, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Angela Yanez-Gaitan and I am a content creator in Palm Springs, CA. The business I named is not my business, but I am a regional leader for them. It is a group based out of Orange County called the SoCal Blogger Babes. There are chapters all over SoCal and in other states as well. I am the regional leader for the Palm Springs Blogger Babes, We are a community of bloggers and influencers who create content, attend events together and create genuine friendships.

I joined their community about a year ago and have been so happy being part od their community. Around that time. I realized my life was consumed with my domestic lifestyle, and it was time for me to start putting myself first. I started posting about my fashion choices and everyday lifestyle. The response was positive, and I continued to pursue my Instagram journey by joining the SoCal Blogger Babes. It was the best decision I have ever made.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I believe every journey has a bumpy road at some point. I believe these are the moments that make you appreciate the journey even more. In the beginning, I struggled with being so open on social media, but as time went on, things started to change. I started to get more comfortable sharing only because people were relating to my topics.

There are times when people mocked me or took my words as a joke, but in the end, you cannot let someone take away your opinion. Your opinion is what makes you stand out from the rest even if it means there will be judgment. Your voice will always be yours and that is truly special.

Please tell us about your work. What do you guys do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
The SoCal Blogger Babes are great at being inclusive, They bring on new members and we start the bond. We attend events, bring brand awareness and create genuine friendships. When I first joined I worried because being in a room with many other women can be intimidating, but not these women.

These women have made me feel so welcomed and appreciated. They are always willing to be your biggest cheerleader. I have made some great friends and we are always looking to add new members. Thee is definitely something about expanding a community. It makes us feel like we have welcomed another member to the family. We are not just bloggers and influencers. We have become FAMILY.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Being a part of such an amazing community has really given me back my confidence. It has made me want to try new things and experiment with new projects. I look forward to being more active in community events. I am thrilled to announce I will be a guest speaker at an event taking place in a couple of weeks. I will be on a panel discussing all things fashion. This is one of those, “I made it” moments. I am honored and thrilled to be part of it. This makes me hopeful for the future. An ultimate goal would be to be on the panel for Create and Cultivate.
