Meet Amy Marietta of Amy Marietta and A.M. CLUB

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Marietta.

Amy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve made it my mission to avoid the 9-5 job. After 4 years of hustling in New York City, and 1 year in Miami working corporate, I now spend my time between LA, Miami, and traveling the world. I’m not one for titles, but if I had to describe what I do on a daily basis, I am a content creator, creative director, brand owner (A.M. Club), blogger, brand and social media consultant, stylist, and journalist. I spend my time coordinating strategic partnerships, creating visual content for companies, and working on my silk scarf line – A.M. Club.

I founded A.M. Club which is a silk line that produces exclusive, high-quality silk pieces with a unique story. Each design has a purpose, and the pieces are crafted from the finest raw materials in the world. We give back to various non-profits I am passionate about and also give back to creatives. I am also a brand ambassador for The Council For Fashion And Social Change. CFSC is a non-profit organization that is focused on changing social impact through fashion and design activities.

I started A.M. to bring my love of creative collaborations, art and culture to the world through high-quality silk designs, while also giving back to the community. After working in the industry for many years, traveling and experiencing many various cultures, I was inspired to showcase this in a way that was unique, while also supporting fellow creatives.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The struggle is real, my friends. I learned to have great work ethic from my grandparents and parents – they really taught me that if I want something, then I have to go out there and get it. I’ve dealt with many ups and downs, but it’s all part of the process. I just stay positive and keep moving towards my goals.

Sometimes it’s hard and you have to cut people out of your life if they are bringing you down, but you’ll be glad you did in the long run. You have to surround yourself with others who uplift you and help you get closer to your dreams and feel more alive. It takes a while to find your crew, but once you do, everything will come together so much easier. You can only do so much as 1, but with a creative family, you are unstoppable.

Amy Marietta and A.M. CLUB – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I started A.M. to bring my love of creative collaborations, art and culture to the world through high-quality silk designs, while also giving back to the community. After working in the industry for many years, traveling and experiencing many various cultures, I was inspired to showcase this in a way that was unique, while also supporting fellow creatives. So in short, I did it for the culture. 😉

But also, I’m a vegan and care about where my food comes from because I don’t want to indulge in something that causes pain to someone or something else. This philosophy carried over into the fashion industry for me. It’s crucial to manufacture at a socially responsible factory where the employees are treated fairly, in my opinion.

I also started producing a lot more video content the past 2 years. My beau is a music producer, so we’ve been working on producing music videos for his artists, and separately travel videos.

I also consult major companies on branding, content, and social media which is great.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Love + Happy + Passion + Adventure + Inspired + Learning.
