Meet Alondra Buccio of Four Eyes Casting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alondra Buccio.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alondra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started photography at age 16. I started taking it serious when I turned 19 since I was able to afford the camera I wanted. My main focus was photography at first but friend Mikey Alfred then DMed me to help him with casting his short film back in 2017 and that’s when I started working with Illegal Civ.

I started getting more into casting last year, it made me want to start my own casting page so it could be easy to find people for projects. The name of my page is Four Eyes Casting. My friend Cesera Suarez who helped me come up with the name also helped me start the page. She named it Four Eyes because I wear glasses. My casting portfolio has grown out throughout the years. I started off by casting short films, commercials, music videos, to a feature film and I got the opportunity to work with Carmen Cuba, who is a great Casting Director that I look up to.

Has it been a smooth road?
There’s been so many struggles, like people trying to take advantage of me by underpaying me. I’ve learned to know your worth and don’t settle for less.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a photographer and casting director. I am known for the amazing talent I use in my photography. I love taking photos of my friends and involving them in all my projects. I started my casting company Four Eyes Casting with help from them. I like to be diverse and give an opportunity to everyone. I am really proud of a film I worked on with my friend Mikey Alfred, it’s called North Hollywood. I was in charge of casting the young extras for the film. I picked real skaters because that is what makes a movie good and believable.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, people are always working on films and music videos out here in Los Angeles.
