Meet Adriane Leigh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriane Leigh.

Adriane, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a child, I used to isolate myself in my room and paint every single piece of furniture that was in my bedroom. I would collect trinkets and vintage items and literally cover them in cosmic planets and celestial artwork.

My mother thought I was insane, unusual and feared for my future as a functioning adult. We laugh about it now, as the child Adriane is very much still the adult Adriane.

Isolating, creating, collecting and painting vintage pieces with cosmic messages. Art has continuously been my escape to other dimensions, a language without words, a feeling that reaches the deepest parts of my soul and a conductor for messages that I feel inclined to relay during my human existence.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve lived many different versions of myself in this current lifetime. We are like snakes continuously shedding our skin that no longer serves us and growing into a new version of ourselves. I have shed many skins, grown and truly awakened to my true self and purpose.

I used to feel purposeless, lost in this whirlwind of a world, pulled into the darkness, distracted and unfocused. I had to remember I’m not this temporary form that I occupy but a vibrational being of light and energy.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
My artwork focuses on high vibrational messages and awakening. The Cosmic Warrior line of hand-painted jackets and apparel is immersed in my own poetry, positive affirmations and enlightening messages of alignment.

The magic of when you wear the jackets is they literally embrace you with love and affirm your belief in yourself and your dreams. On the cuffs of every jacket is “Believe” and “Achieve” as a reminder for that which you believe you shall achieve.

The Awaken Collection is oil on canvas and encompasses various faces and figures with a Third Eye symbolizing our seat of intuition and inner celestial knowledge.

I currently have on display a commissioned 300ft wall mural on Sunset Blvd. in the heart of West Hollywood inspired by the Beverly Hills Hotel legendary pink and green leaf wallpaper.

What were you like growing up?
Interestingly enough I was often “made fun of” as a child for fabricating my own wardrobe and painting randomness all over my clothes. I never fit in with the “normies” and rather marched with my own band of fur coat vintage wearing hippies who would spend the evenings adding graffiti art to the train trestles.
