Today we’d like to introduce you to Raton Rockero

Hi Raton , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started as a Radio Personality, Programmer & Producer for Horas Rockeras in 2017, after being asked to Co-Host by its previous Host. The previous Host, discovered me after interviewing my 2017 musical project “Angel Soniko” after our album’s release. Previous to that, my musical career in 1992 as a keyboardist and songwriter my 1st first band named Machine One, followed by my second band, Écouter, which was signed by KC Porter of World Beat in 1994 under a subsidiary of Atlantic records.

Écouter disbanded in 1995, and following a string of independent projects, I decided to venture out as a solo artist, guitarist & Bassist, eventually producing such Bands artists as Ayla Storm, Neptunecross, Angel Soniko, Nexoasis & Anorexia Isan. I’ve been producing music since 1997, & Also starting my own Record label in 2017, named Neptune Cross Publishing, which followed the signing of Indie artists in the following years and subsequently making Horas Rockeras my main Musical venture which helps promote young artists & Bands, covering Music Festivals & generating Artists Interviews.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road and that’s expected. My 1st struggle, as an Independent artist/ Radio Host/podcasters has been financing. I’ve had to maintain a day job to fund my many musical projects and ventures throughout my career. Also, opportunities and contacts have to be searched out and discovered through the attendance of musical events (festivals or concerts) or agreeing to interview artists they represent, allowing me an opportunity to be introduced to their public and their representatives which ultimately leads to more opportunities & contacts. Humility is a plus as is willingness, courage, and initiative.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently programer & host of my radio program Horas Rockeras, which requires me to run our web site, conduct interviews with artists, cover music festivals, report music news, and search out new music to share. I specialize in finding new music and artists for our program, but also in interviewing artists and new bands. I’m most proud of the work that has gone into making our radio program fun, informative and modern. My past production experience has allowed me to flourish in that role and being able to run all aspects of the program, without outside help or funding has enriched my knowledge of the craft and find a niche in Radio, allowing me to stay independent, setting me apart from other programs that depend on those factors to exist. I believe my creativity is my edge
