Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Langan

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After college ended, I moved to the Hamptons to write for the East Hampton Star and work in an upscale beachfront restaurant. After spending two years writing professionally for various Hamptons news sources, I started my website, Hamptons to Hollywood, and made the trip from Montauk to Los Angeles.

Once in LA, the blog took off and I was able to turn it into a lifestyle brand. Hamptons to Hollywood was named the Top Lifestyle Blog by TripAdvisor in 2015 and 2017. The brand also sells an eponymous line of apparel, and has an online store that sells curated products from Hamptons and Los Angeles artisans.

In 2015, I signed a three-book-deal for a series of young adult novels. The first edition of UNCHARTED WATERS was released in 2016 and a second edition was released in 2021. The sequel, UNCHARTED HORIZONS, was also released in 2021, and my third novel, CONFESSIONS OF A CALLBOY, debuted as a bestseller in 2022.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been A LOT of ups and downs. There have been times where early on, I was scared I would run out of money, there have been personal relationship challenges to overcome, job layoffs — you name it. But I’m grateful for those hardships because I was able to turn all of it into my art. Whether from books or articles, I drew from my experiences to create stories that people could relate to.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most known as a bestselling author and social media expert.

I specialize in telling stories – whether its in novel form, or helping social media clients create content that showcases them and their businesses. Stories can inform, entertain, and make everyone feel less alone. And that’s what I try to do in every story – no matter how small – I create.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was extremely imaginative. Being an only child until I was eight, I was constantly drawing, writing stories, acting, and living in my own little world. I was always empathetic and kind, and a really curious kid.

My parents were both artists, so we were always going to museums, galleries, plays, the ballet, and movies. I feel really grateful I was exposed to so much culture as a kid because its really shaped who I am today. I learned to appreciate art, in all its forms, from a very young age.
