Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Guzman.

Hi Kenneth, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been a musician since 1998 and worked professionally in entertainment since 2012. I am a local musician in the Antelope Valley area. Booking Promotion. Artist in guitar bass and drums, setting up my own shows at the Britisher bar in Lancaster. Among the bands The Opps Strippr Flesh Radio Idol Lord Insolito ranging from punk reggae rock n roll stoner doom music. I’ve played the whisky a go go viper room house of blues the rainbow bar and grille. Hosting open mic and supporting local artists in my community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not a smooth road by any means. Fall outs with members. Having demos stolen for others personal gain. Local celebrity spotlight affecting personal life and friendships. Despite all of that I’ve been
Supported by local bookers comedians musicians with a connection all through out Southern California. I’ve been trying to make my mark through the lowest places and reaching as high as I can.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve worked in radio from 2012 to 2017 depressed because corporations don’t let you succeed. Been a stage hand for the California fair circuit from 2017 to 2021 as a runner grunt rigger audio video. Trying to put my nose in what I can learn. Detail oriented that I used that knowledge to work for myself. Through friendships and hard work I’ve been using my skills to be self made. Not glamorous but I’m proud of what I’ve done and it’s all I’ve got.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Please pursue your goals and hone your craft. The world is built to bring you down. Life is too short to not play your music. And when you do you might save someone’s life or give them joy to keep living. If I can be anything than human I would be a small drop in the ocean of music. I would be a single note in the symphony of the universe and I think people forget that music is bigger than us.
