Today we’d like to introduce you to Cire B.
Hi Cire B, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Eric Barnett better known as “Cire B” I am a Drill Sergeant in the US Army, an advocate for mental health, a visual artist and owner of Cire B Studios. Started my company in the middle of the pandemic and with everyone stuck inside the house, I would get hundreds of inquiries about when I was going to have another live event but with the world locked down, I had to think how could I reach my supporters. So that’s when I thought of and launched “The Art Box a premium paint and sip kit that provides a guided experience of fun with themes, games, and paint tutorials led by myself and various artists. The kits are shipped directly to doorsteps and contain everything needed to create a masterpiece, including a step-by-step tutorial video and custom playlist. The launch was extremely successful, earning six-figures. MY online presence grew and I then started to do live art auctions on my social media platforms. One of the collectors being Jimmy Cox, CEO and Founder of the Military Fresh Network. After the pandemic was over, I had an even larger fan base of art lovers. I partnered with various small business owners throughout NY and CA to convert Coffee shops, Mechanics, Boutiques, various restaurants into pop-up art galleries. The partnership helped those small businesses recover after the pandemic by getting and influx of customers and it helped my company grow as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Someone made an attempt on my life while I was on duty, and I could’ve died as a result of it. Being that close to death changes you in so many ways, and I knew I’d never be the same again. I told myself that I’d be more aggressive with living life from that day on. In other words, I wanted to live life with more purpose. I was going to go after everything I wanted from this world. The goal is simple, use my knowledge and talents to positively impact as many lives as I possibly could. Being immersed in such high-intensity environments, I found painting to be the emotional and therapeutic release I needed, expressing myself in art form. The artwork I create is a direct reflection of my thoughts, emotions, and whatever energy I’m feeling at that moment in time. It’s these same components that fuel the vivid colors and hidden messages used in my art.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Since starting Cire B Studios, I’ve been building a name for myself in the art world. I’ve been featured on Comcast and Xfinity on the Afro TV Network, telling my story and showcasing my art to their 14 million plus viewers. Selling and showcasing my art in various venues throughout major cities such as NY Port Authority in the heart of Times Square, Art Heart Fashion for NYFW and Art Basel in Miami, Florida to name a few. I’m known for curating unique interactive experiences, from financial art lead workshops to personal development-inspired paint and sip classes to live painting different performers. I’m on a mission to uplift the minds and spirits of as many people as I possibly can through art.
What’s next?
“I find great purpose in allowing others to experience art, whether it be showcasing my own art for the public or helping out upcoming artists,” I plan on opening the first of many of my own art galleries in LA, NY/NJ and FL. which is set to launch in 2024.
