Life & Work with Cinthia Jensen of Redondo Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinthia Jensen.

Hi Cinthia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in 2020 during a time when we were all working from home and figuring out what the next step looked like. At the same time, I had two kids at home—one in high school and one in preschool—so life was a mix of parenting, uncertainty, and adjustment.

Since we couldn’t go into stores, I found myself constantly browsing retailers online for things we needed, like clothing, shoes, and skincare. Around that time, I also began following a few influencers and became curious about what they were doing. That’s when I decided to try it myself.

I started by creating my LTK and Amazon storefront and sharing products on social media. From there, opportunities began to grow—starting with brand collaborations, which helped me expand my content and visibility.

Eventually, small businesses started reaching out for content creation, grand openings, and event appearances. I said yes to many of those opportunities, which allowed me to meet new people and open doors to even more experiences, including modeling and a guest appearance on a TV episode.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey hasn’t been a smooth road. There are always ups and downs because nothing in life is perfect. One of my biggest struggles is wishing there were more hours in the day, especially as a parent with a career and responsibilities that also include taking care of myself.

If it were just me, single with no other obligations, I think I could get even more done. But I truly love the life I have. I appreciate every little thing that comes my way, and I know it’s a slow process. Still, I’m grateful to have a beautiful family, great friends, and a strong support system that keeps me going.

At the end of the day, I also recognize that I am the only one who can make this happen. Every goal I’m working toward is being built through my own time, sacrifices, ideas, and effort. No one else is putting in that time for me. It’s me showing up, even in small ways, and still getting excited about every step forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The work I do focuses on creating content for brands, as well as helping small businesses with content ideas and marketing strategies. Anything related to social media marketing is where I thrive and bring value.

I’m proud to have collaborated with well-known brands such as Target, Barefoot Dreams, Patricia Nash, Playboy, and Thousand Fell, among others. These opportunities have allowed me to grow creatively while building meaningful partnerships.

What I believe sets me apart is that I don’t copy trends or replicate other creators’ content. I focus on creating original, authentic work that reflects my own perspective and style. Brands continue to come back and work with me because they see my creativity as unique—not copy-and-paste—but intentional and different in a way that stands out.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
The role that has felt the least fulfilling for me has been my corporate accounting career. I worked hard to earn my degree and build experience in accounting, but no matter how much skill I developed, I often felt that the value and effort behind my work wasn’t fully recognized—especially when balancing personal life alongside it. Because of that, I’ve always struggled to feel fully aligned in a traditional corporate environment.

In 2019, I began freelancing in accounting and bookkeeping, which was a successful step for me and gave me more flexibility. However, over the past few years, I went through a more difficult season professionally and personally. During that time, I started to shift my focus and discovered that marketing and content creation felt like a more natural and fulfilling direction for me.
