Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Smith.

Hi Audrey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Baby Girl Twin Scents was created during COVID-19 because my job closed down permanently. I remember reading this article that said candles was a growing trend and started my research of starting a candle business. Launched the business strategically on March 27, 2020 because it was the 10 year anniversary of my Mom’s death date and wanted to change that date from a negative to a positive. This year I celebrated my 6 year anniversary in Las Vegas.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
From 2020-2024, business was great. Sold out Rams candles at the SuperBowl before the SuperBowl even started and have been to many pop up events where networking became the goal to reach out to other businesses for collaboration. The struggle came in September 2025 when I was injured by a floor buffering machine while grocery shopping and with my right arm being impacted, I had to pause my business. It was completely devastating and I was so sad that all of my hard work had to be put on hold for my personal recovery. I was cleared in February 2026 to return back to my business and I am now rebuilding my brand.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in custom made candles for any events and my top selling candles are team inspiration candles for the NFL and NBA. My newest candle, the rose candle is also taking off as a contender to be a best seller as well. What sets my candles apart from others is the love and care that I put into the candles when I hand pour them with my gospel music playing in the background. God is my source of strength and I follow what God tells me to do because obedience brings abundance.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I have always been very competitive and like to push myself through any challenges. I am a happy spirited individual that also likes to lead by encouraging and inspiring other people. I started the Black Business Highlight February 2020 to showcase black businesses that I have either worked with through collaboration or business that need more awareness because word of mouth from a reputable source really helps the small businesses.
