Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Nix & Dalynn Sandine.
Hi Amanda & Dalynn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We found our location February 2020 and had just gone to our first market when Covid hit! We slowly tried to get the store together and people shopped over our Dutch door, as they weren’t allowed inside. It was a crazy time! I (Amanda) have worked in retail my entire life, off-and-on and my business partner Dalynn is my childhood best friend. I met her literally the day after she was born. Our moms were friends! We are from South Dakota. She is also an orange theory coach. I also write.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Covid was a struggle for sure Haha! But the community is great! And we think there’s a need for a boutique like ours. People like not having to go to Nordstrom. But Covid was a crazy time to open!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We buy all the clothes ourselves so we know how they fit. We make it very easy to find clothes that fit amazing and are comfortable and good quality. We understand people’s styles easily but will also try to get you out of your comfort zone! Also, most people go to a mall and can’t find jeans, but come here and find a couple pairs. We are good at fitting denim and have a large selection. We have lots of items that are 100% cotton, a ton of American made products, gold filled jewelry (not plated) and our brands use sustainable practices and fabrics. Also, a lot of our lines give back to charities!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Our families helped get us started and are still a huge support. And my husband Mike. He does all the manual labor. Our family traveled from South Dakota to be at our fifth anniversary party!
