Life and Work with Vanessa Zamora

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Zamora.

Vanessa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a 36-year-old Latina, I started my life as some would say “ass backwards”. usually people go to college after high school, start their career, get married then have children.

At the age of 13 I was a lost and troubled teenager affiliating with gangs, fights, and boys. I became pregnant and had my daughter when I was 15 years old.  Throughout our entire relationship, my ex husband and I had a very toxic dynamic as his substance use would ensue domestic violence, car accidents while under the influence, shoot outs, police calls and so forth. I knew I had to leave.  I felt dead inside, my self-esteem was below ground level, and I was on Prozac for depression, I was broken.

One day I dropped down on my knees in desperation and begged God “If you get me out of this situation safely, I promise to do good by you.”

It was in that pivotal moment where I decided to walk away from a 17 year toxic relationship with my 3 small children.

I was in need of a lot of support in rebuilding my confidence and regaining my strength so I continued to apply faith to my situation and that’s when things really started to open up for me.

I met my very first mentors who poured their time and energy into grooming me into the person I am today.

I was highly impacted by my mentors that I am now a Life Coach and empower men and women all over the world who have also struggled with seeing their true selves and I encourage them and support them through the process of self discovery and self mastery. I am passionate about this work because I know what it feels like to be depressed, anxious, and wake up with no meaning or purpose. Through my story and through my pain, I have found purpose.  And that’s what Manifesting and Mimosas provides, a safe space of encouragement to reminds others to not give up hope because there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes we cant see it for ourselves but it takes other special individuals to see it for us and bring it out within us.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy road, I have had to face parts of me that I was in denial of. Parts of me that showed up as a pushover, as a enabler and I had to deal with Issues related to my self esteem, integrity, and belief in myself that affected all areas of my life.

I used to blame forces and circumstances outside of me, but this process has forced me to face myself in the mirror and take accountability for my actions and take responsibility for my life.

Taking back my responsibility has given me a sense of ownership and I have been able to reclaim my power.

My advice to women is trust your inner voice, it is steering you in the right direction. You will always have a feeling about what is right and what is wrong for you, that feeling is called your intuition. If you ever feel like you need to walk away from something or someone don’t be afraid of the unknown take the leap of faith and walk from what doesn’t serve your highest good. It’s not going to be pretty at first but it’s going to be a beautiful process. It is then and only then  when you will truly find yourself.

Please tell us about Manifesting & Mimosas.
Manifesting & Mimosas is a sisterhood community that was created from a heart centered place of love and compassion with the Intention to support, inspire, uplift and motivate women of all backgrounds.

It’s not only a space where we openly share our stories of struggles, setbacks and failures but its also and educational platform where we teach women how to push past their self limiting beliefs, doubts and fears through different mindset techniques, meditation, educational tools etc.

I carefully and intuitively select all of the speakers, presenters, and collaborators at Manifesting and Mimosas to ensure that their heart is in alignment with the vision.

Some of the current women that I collaborate with are highly energetic and successful in life and business who have also been through their own share of setbacks yet they still have a heart to serve and are passionate about empowering others. Erika Morales, one of Golden Memorial Insurance Six Figure Earners, Melanie Marden, Maxim Cover Model, Diana Smith, Entrepreneur and Radio personality, Monica Mejorado, Intuitive transformation coach just to name a few. They all bring their set of tools to the table as far as what has helped them succeed in business, relationships, family and the balance of it all.

As far as the future of Manifesting and Mimosas, we will continue to provide a series of empowering quarterly workshops where we can laugh, cry, dance, but more importantly inspire.

In ongoing seminars you’ll meet breathwork meditation facilitators, successful female entrepreneurs,  motivational speakers, personal development and fitness coaches, educators who have a nact for teaching others how to access their true potential, as well as branding and marketing experts and much more.

The Mimosas aren’t a big part of the experience, it’s really just a staple in which we close our workshop with a toast to the future in which we wish to create going forward. We focus more on the manifesting which is the bigger part of the brand where we give real life example of how we’re already manifesting in our day to day lives.  We create our reality through our thoughts so we teach how one can create new realities based on thoughts, words and actions.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Its a circle of trust in a community where it’s okay to be authentic and transparent.

After spending just a few minutes in this atmosphere you’ll leave feeling inspired, motivated and ready to take on any challenge your life may present to you and accomplish every single goal! Women all over Los Angeles are raving about Manifesting and Mimosas and it’s become quite the trendsetting spark that’s needed in our communities and it’s encouraging more women to create their own series of seminars. The ripple effect is quite incredible!!

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
My mother being a Mexican immigrant only spoke to me in Spanish so Spanish was my first language.  She came to this country without knowing the language pushed through all barriers and became a citizen, learned how to speak language and is a successful entrepreneur. I am so thankful for her drive because it has taught me to be grateful to be born here in the United States and for my upbringing because I’m bi lingual and I’m able to reach out to both the Latino Spanish-speaking community.

All of our experiences are unique and different and everyone’s journey is a perfect process.  Trust your process, trust your story, and trust yourself. There’s is a reason for all of it.
