Taylor, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Thank you for having me!
I have to say yes. I’ve always had a strong work ethic. I think always having to work on my own has taught me to be hard working. I’m also extremely passionate about what I do, and love to bring my creativity to every project. I basically love to get the job done.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Taylor. I write, record, produce and perform music in STARSE3D. I picked up the guitar over 15 years ago and haven’t looked back since. Music has been my outlet, and I’ve loved singing and writing for as long as I can remember.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
No one really told me who I had to be, though society can sometimes try to influence us and program us into what is thought to be “correct.” I’ve really tried my best to avoid that by choosing what I love to do most, which is music. When I was younger, I was very free spirited, laughing all the time. The older I got, the more restricted I felt and the more detached I became from my true self. And I think this is partly because of the pressures society puts on us. Especially in the music industry, or entertainment industry in general, and this creates a lot of stress. Music has helped me process and reflect on what I go through and put it into art.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Many times. The things I’ve gone through, music being a challenging pursuit, definitely made me want to give up many times. But I’m still here.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Music literally means so much to me, it’s something I just always come back to and I’ve always stuck with it no matter what. I just don’t see myself doing anything else.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, and I always have. I don’t really get a lot of validation nor do I chase that anyways. I just do what I do because I love it.
