Hi Oszkar , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Within the first 90 minutes of my day the following happens:
I wake up around 7:30am, I brush my teeth, I drive to grab a caramel flavored iced coffee, and I sit down in front of my computer and begin to edit whatever project I’m currently working on.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Oszkar Romé and I am a director, cinematographer, and editor. I enjoy working with both up and coming talent and established talent. Along with Angel “Classics” Rodriguez, we own Redeyetv Productions. We truly listen to our clients and try our best to bring our clients vision to life.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
A great mentor of mine that taught me a lot of great filmmaking tricks is Alex Magaña from ACM Films.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Truly believe in yourself. Don’t listen to any negativity. Always try your best and never lose focus.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Coming from a Mexican family, I was taught that family always comes first. That’s is something I’ve kept close. I want to succeed for my family.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. I don’t do it for the praise when I work on music videos or films. I do it because I actually love the creative process and putting it all together.
