Christine, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Most people don’t see the scale of what I’m building with Cast Forward or the impact it is meant to have. On the surface, it might look like just another newsletter, but it is actually a premium membership platform. It is a high-level career accelerator for actors that delivers insider strategies, industry knowledge and resources and actionable tools that most people spend years trying to figure out.
I launched it in January 2025 after decades of experience as an actress, consultant and entrepreneur. My career has spanned film, television, theatre, voice, video games, commercials, publishing and decades of coaching and mentoring actors on both their craft and their careers. I have worked with performers at every stage, from helping them refine their artistry to guiding them through strategic career moves, including the O-1 and EB-1A visa application process. I am also a member of the Association of Acting Coaches and Educators, which reflects my commitment to high standards in actor training and professional development. Every skill I have developed, every connection I have made and every lesson I have learned has been poured into Cast Forward.
In under three months, Cast Forward reached number 19 on Substack’s “Rising in Business” leaderboard, which tells me the platform is already gaining traction, even if most of the industry hasn’t discovered it yet.
My publicist told me I was a force in the entertainment industry after reading my work. I believe what she meant is that Cast Forward is not just about sharing tips. It is about reshaping how actors approach their careers. It is strategic, bold and refuses to cut corners. If more people knew the caliber of what is inside, it could completely change the trajectory of thousands of actors’ careers around the world.
What makes me proud is knowing I am building something that, in the right hands, can be life changing. Even if most of the world does not see the full picture yet, I know that when they do, it will be unstoppable.
If you’re an actor who wants access to these strategies, resources and insider tools, you can explore Cast Forward here: www.TheCastForward.com.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I began my career as an actor and storyteller, starting in theatre, then moving into film and commercials. Over time, my work expanded into other mediums, including voice acting and video games. Throughout my career, my work has reached audiences around the world. That journey taught me not only the craft of performance but also the business side of the industry, which is just as critical to long-term success.
That understanding inspired me to launch Muze Consultancy, where I guide actors through both the artistic and strategic parts of their careers. I also founded a publishing company, Hill Weiser Publishing, that has released children’s books, daily planners and professional tools such as the Actor Operating System, a complete digital framework to help performers organize, track and advance every area of their work.
It’s the exact system I’ve relied on to land opportunities and build my career and it’s helped other actors book roles in Netflix series, award-winning films and major theater productions. You can explore it here: https://payhip.com/b/KJ6tL
Alongside these ventures, I am growing Cast Forward, a premium membership platform for actors who are ready to accelerate their careers. It delivers high-level strategies, exclusive industry insights and actionable tools that most performers spend years trying to figure out on their own. What makes it special is that it is built from decades of real-world experience, from my work both on set and within the entertainment business. I share strategies I have developed to help actors move forward in their careers, covering areas such as visibility, branding and long-term positioning.
Cast Forward is more than a platform. It is a place where actors can access knowledge and resources that can change the way they approach their careers. My goal is to grow it into a global hub for performers who want to stop waiting for opportunities and start creating them.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was not a single event but an understanding I had from a very young age. I grew up knowing that connections play a major role in the entertainment business. I saw early on that you do not necessarily have to be the most talented person in the room to get opportunities if you have the right connections. But I also learned that connections alone are not enough. The people who go the farthest are those who have both meaningful connections and genuine talent. Without talent it is difficult to sustain a career no matter how strong your network is.
I have always believed that you do not need to be the most talented person in the world because there will always be someone more skilled in a particular area. What matters is having a unique talent, understanding what makes you stand out and knowing how to use it strategically. That belief shapes how I work with actors today. I teach them how to build relationships, develop strategies and strengthen their craft so they can move forward in their careers as working professionals. My focus is not on helping someone become famous because fame without substance is rarely sustainable. My goal is to help actors build careers they can be proud of, grounded in skill, strategy and a genuine love for the work.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me the value of persistence in a way success never could. Success can be motivating, but it is often comfortable. Struggle forces you to make a choice to give up or to keep going even when there is no guarantee of a reward. For me, the difficult seasons of my life taught me to keep showing up, to adapt and to create opportunities rather than wait for them. It is through suffering that we are often the most creative and it is through suffering that we find solutions.
When actors are stuck, unable to move forward and in that struggling stage, that is when I need to learn everything about them and their situation. Once I know my clients and fully understand their circumstances, I can put strategies in place and create a blueprint for what they need to do next. I show them how to take matters into their own hands and give them the exact steps to move forward.
In the entertainment industry rejection is inevitable. Early in my career I learned that it was not a reflection of my worth but simply part of the process. Those experiences made me more resourceful, more strategic and more determined. They taught me how to build a career that could withstand the ups and downs of this business.
That mindset is what I bring to my work today. Through Cast Forward and Muze Consultancy I help actors develop the tools, strategies and resilience they need to move forward in their careers. I do not just teach craft or strategy. I teach the kind of persistence that can only be learned through challenges, because it is that persistence that allows talent to thrive for the long term. That’s exactly why I created resources like the Actor Operating System and Cast Forward, so actors can access the same strategies, structure and support that I’ve used to build my own career.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in the entertainment industry is that actors have to wait to be chosen. The truth is you can create your own opportunities. You can develop your own projects, build your own platforms and take ownership of your visibility. Waiting for the phone to ring keeps you stuck. Taking control of your career opens doors you may not have imagined.
Another lie is that there is only one path to success. In reality, careers are built in countless ways. Some actors come up through theatre before moving into film, others start in commercials and later book major television roles and many create their own work from the ground up. There is no single formula. What matters is identifying your strengths, building strong relationships and nurturing the professional networks that will continue to hire you. I have seen it many times. When you consistently deliver great work, people want to work with you again and those relationships can carry you through an entire career.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I inspired them. Throughout my life, I have had so many people come up to me and tell me that something I said or did encouraged them to follow their heart, take a risk, or go after a dream they had been putting off. Every time someone has told me that, it has meant so much to me.
Inspiring others is one of the greatest joys in my life and I also love being inspired. I find it beautiful when someone’s courage, creativity, or determination sparks something in me. It is a reminder that inspiration flows both ways and that we are all capable of lifting each other up.
I love seeing people take a leap, change direction, or push themselves in a way they never thought they could. Sometimes it is about their work, sometimes it is about their personal life, but it is always about believing in themselves enough to take that step forward.
If people remember me as someone who helped them see what was possible, who gave them the courage to take a chance and who encouraged them to live in a way that felt true to them, that would mean the world to me.
