Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Caitlyn Green of Burbank

We recently had the chance to connect with Caitlyn Green and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Caitlyn, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
My mission is to promote women’s wellness through movement. Often, the dance portion of my business is met with shame or misunderstood because of its sensual nature. While heels dancing is sensual, there is a vital distinction between the sexual and the sensual.

Women are naturally sensual beings; they don’t need to ‘try’ to be sexy or learn how to be attractive because that essence is already inherent within them. My work isn’t about teaching women how to perform, but rather helping them reconnect with the power they already possess.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Caitlyn Green, and I am the founder of The Elara Studio. We are a mobile wellness collective dedicated to empowering women through low-impact strength training and heels dance. We offer personal training, fitness and dance classes, bachelorette parties, and collaborative experiences that prioritize holistic wellness while championing fellow women-owned businesses.

Our mission is to make movement both accessible and functional, whether you are a beginner or an advanced mover. While we are primarily based in Los Angeles, we are proud to expand our community to Upstate New York twice a year.

Building this business has been a journey of breaking barriers, perfecting the balance of accessible movement, and finding healing in ways I never expected. The Elara Studio is designed to feel like a girls’ night: it’s the inside jokes that spark laughter, the self-love found through new friendships, and the discovery of who you are through trial and error.

We are currently preparing for our next Strength, Stretch, & Sound Bath event this January, followed by our four-class heels program at Dynamic Duo Dance Studio in Glendale starting in February. We can’t wait to move with you.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Anxiety often severs the bonds between people by creating walls of fear and misunderstanding. Conversely, shared experiences and common interests act as the bridge that restores those connections, reminding us of our collective humanity.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
At one point, I walked away from dance as a career. I had lost my passion for movement, weighed down by the fear that I wasn’t ‘smart enough’ to succeed and the financial pressures that often come with the arts. I pivoted into other industries, but I now realize those years weren’t a detour. I was gaining the business acumen and life experiences that I now use to fuel The Elara Studio. What I once thought was a departure was actually the preparation I needed to lead this community with more depth and perspective

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The Elara Studio was always meant to be the backbone of something much larger. Though movement is where we began, my mission is to expand into every pillar of a woman’s well-being. I am currently working on evolving the brand to serve women of all ages, ensuring that Elara supports them through every phase and health pillar of their journey.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
A personal goal I am currently focusing on is the art of receiving. I am learning to fully accept the gratitude and recognition that comes with my work, acknowledging the true value of what I provide. I’ve realized that for my mission to be sustainable, I must embrace the exchange of energy—whether through praise or compensation. This shift ensures that I can continue to expand my reach and support my community for years to come.
