We’re looking forward to introducing you to LaRance Braggs. Check out our conversation below.
Hi LaRance, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m walking a path and I know it because I fill fulfilled each time I am able to help change someone’s life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m La Rance Braggs.. Born in Denver Colorado raised with Oakland, California roots. I’m 45 years old and a father of 1…well two because I have a daughter that didn’t come from me but has been placed with me by GOD I feel because she drives me crazy like my son does. So yeah, I still have my father and mother around and I also have 4 sisters 1 passed away in Dec of 2024, her name is Darnae. I am a proud Uncle of a lot, and I love to fish and cook.
I also am a 2 time national jujitsu champion from 2016,17. I was 36 and 37 when that happens. I am a marine corps veteran oorah. And I have 13 uncle and aunts and I feel like 35,436 cousins cause they just keep coming out of nowhere. Sheesh I have a lot of cousins.
I am a comedian director producer actor. I’ve been working in the entertainment industry for over 2 decades and here recently I have been venturing in the directors world. I love it because I can create jobs and opportunities for people.
I want to bridge the gaps between all generations so we can better communicate and live peaceable together. Life is all of what we as humans make it.
Something unique about me I am just me, with no filters. I love me.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My father taught me about hard work. I watched my father go from working for a business to be coming the business. I learned how to work for myself.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up. I was struggling mentally during a dark period in my life and I didn’t have any support to be able to speak about my issues. I felt alone and I was angry because I am here and alot of my friends aren’t. Survivors remorse you can say. It almost took me out because during that time, I lost my wife and my daughter in a matter of a year. I’m waaaaay better now. I have delt with a lot but I’m thankfully the man upstairs has showed me a lot of favor.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Oh most definitely. Anyone that knows me knows I’m a professional Big Homie as 1 of my friends would call me. I just want the best for everyone and some people take it as controlling but others take it for what it is, I care passionately and I want to see the best for you. I try and help people succeed in anything do because everything seems so easy to me so I want to help someone else make it better for themself.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I’m working on projects and hopefully 7-10 years from now I’ll be the go to guy to help people change their life.
