Jayden Murillo of Los Angeles on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Jayden Murillo and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayden , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I feel like anytime I accomplish a certain event throughout my career I feel the most proud. Anytime an opportunity comes to me whether it’s getting to model or getting the opportunity to meet Lizzo is when I’m most of proud of myself. Recently I got invite to a private event where I was amongst many celebs and ICONS which I was able to meet and talk to Doja Cat! Later that same night Mariah Carey showed up! It was such an amazing and unforgettable experience!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jayden Murillo, I’m a model as well as a beauty/lifestyle content creator based in Los Angeles!
Although my model career isn’t as huge, I’ve had some experience within the field! I have modeled for beauty brands such as Jeffree Starr Cosmetics, Petite Ñ Pretty and also have modeled for Kaiser Permanente! I still continue to submit my castings and push to succeed as a gay feminine man.
As a social media beauty creator, I have gained many relationships within the brands I have worked with. I have made many different types of content for the brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, Nyx Cosmetics, Too Faced, Yitty, PLT and many more!
I’m currently working on getting my bachelors in Public Relations, to further my career and hoping to work under one of these brands! As well as still continuing to grow my social media platforms and connections in the industry!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The more I get older and gain friendships with people in my life, the more I continue to grow within myself and I’m able to mature and gain and sense of visibility of who I am as a person.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
don’t doubt yourself ever, don’t be afraid of who you are, just be you.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, every single post on the internet is 100% the real me. Sometimes it’s surprising when some people can act a little different than what they display themselves as, but I genuinely just do me and post what I love!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace when I’m with friends and family. Sometimes it is hard when majority of my family lives out of state, but it is always calming and relief being around them. Having friends where I can go and talk too is also something that brings me to peace as well.
