Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I realized my passion for interior design in 7th grade when I enrolled in an interior design elective and took it more seriously than any other class I had. I still have my portfolio made of magazine cutouts! After graduating college, I worked in my family’s construction business, where I learned the technical aspects of building homes. This experience laid the groundwork for me to have a deep understanding of what goes on from the ground up. After several years, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and start my own business. I combined my construction knowledge with my passion for design and founded Style House LA, Inc. Throughout the last seven years, I’ve had incredible opportunities to design custom homes for my clients, and I truly enjoy creating beautiful and timeless designs that incorporate my clients’ visions with my own design aesthetic.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having my own interior design firm isn’t just about choosing paint swatches and shopping; it’s about embracing each project’s unique challenges. My goal is to listen to my client’s ideas and needs and create something they didn’t even realize was possible. I want them to walk into their home and immediately feel a sense of comfort, luxury, and ease, and that this space was specially curated for them.
We’ve been impressed with Style House LA, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Style House LA is about unexpected luxury and creating forward-thinking spaces that truly reflect our clients’ lifestyle. The team specializes in high-end residential projects, drawing inspiration from our perspective that good design is timeless and boundless.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Collaborating with architects, contractors, vendors, and artists allow us to better compliment each others expertise while keeping my vision at the forefront. Working in harmony encourages the exchange of ideas and ensures the cohesiveness of a project. I’m always looking to expand my portfolio of vendors and artists to include in future designs.
