Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Salcedo.
Hi Samuel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into plastic and reconstructive surgery began with a deep-rooted passion for both science and aesthetics. From early on in medical school, I was drawn to the way plastic surgery could seamlessly blend artistry with medicine—restoring function while also helping patients feel whole, confident, and empowered.
After completing residency, I chose to focus on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery because of its profound, lasting impact on patients’ lives. Whether it’s helping someone feel confident in their skin after massive weight loss, reconstructing a breast post-mastectomy, or refining features to better match how someone feels on the inside—every case is deeply personal, and that’s what fuels my commitment.
Opening The Plastics Doc in Corona, California was a defining milestone. I wanted to create more than just a surgical practice—I envisioned a space where patients feel heard, respected, and cared for from consultation through recovery. Every procedure we offer is rooted in trust, safety, and personalized care.
Giving back has also always been part of my mission. I’ve been fortunate to participate in charitable surgical work, both locally and abroad, helping underserved communities gain access to reconstructive procedures they otherwise wouldn’t receive. It’s a reminder of why I got into this field in the first place—to make a real difference.
Today, I’m proud to serve a diverse patient community across Southern California, helping individuals achieve their aesthetic goals while maintaining the highest standards of medical excellence. My path hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling—and I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to change lives through the work I love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most meaningful journeys, the road to where I am today hasn’t been without its challenges. Medical training itself is demanding—years of intense education, long nights, and constant pressure to perform at the highest level. But the real challenges came after that, when I decided to build something of my own.
Starting a private practice meant stepping into the unknown—not just as a surgeon, but as an entrepreneur. I had to learn how to run a business, build a team, and create a brand that truly reflects my values and the quality of care I strive to provide. There were moments of self-doubt, financial pressure, and the overwhelming weight of responsibility. But every obstacle became an opportunity to grow.
There’s also the emotional side of this work. Plastic surgery is deeply personal for patients, and holding space for their stories, expectations, and healing is both an honor and a heavy responsibility. Learning how to manage that with compassion and clarity took time and maturity.
That said, those struggles have shaped me into the surgeon—and person—I am today. They’ve made the successes that much more meaningful and reinforced why I love what I do.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about TPD MD – The Plastics Doc.?
At The Plastics Doc, we specialize in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery with a focus on delivering natural, balanced results tailored to each patient’s goals. Our practice offers a wide range of procedures—from body contouring, mommy makeovers, and breast enhancement to facial rejuvenation and non-surgical treatments like injectables and skin care solutions.
What sets us apart is our patient-centered approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all procedures. Every person who walks through our doors receives a custom treatment plan designed to enhance their unique features and support their journey—physically, emotionally, and mentally. I spend a lot of time getting to know my patients, understanding not just what they want to change, but why. That relationship-building is the foundation of everything we do.
Our facility in Corona was designed with comfort, safety, and privacy in mind. From the first consultation to post-op care, our team is deeply committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel seen, heard, and valued.
We’re also proud of the trust we’ve built in the community. Many of our patients come to us through word of mouth, and we take that trust seriously. It means we’re not just delivering good results—we’re delivering a great experience.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is staying true to our mission: combining the highest level of surgical skill with warmth, honesty, and integrity. The aesthetic industry can sometimes be overwhelming or intimidating, and our goal is to be a source of clarity, education, and empowerment for every patient we serve.
If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know about The Plastics Doc, it’s this: We’re not just here to transform appearances—we’re here to elevate confidence, restore self-esteem, and walk alongside our patients as they become the best version of themselves. Everyone will notice, no one will know.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I believe has been most important to my success is authenticity and delivering natural results.
From the very beginning, I’ve made it a priority to approach each patient with honesty, transparency, and a genuine desire to understand their goals. People come to me with very personal concerns, and I believe it’s my responsibility to guide them with care—not just as a surgeon, but as a trusted partner in their journey.
At the same time, I’ve built my reputation around achieving results that look natural and balanced—never overdone. My aesthetic philosophy is rooted in enhancing someone’s existing beauty, not changing who they are. That approach has really resonated with my patients, and it’s helped me build long-term trust and a strong word-of-mouth practice.
In the end, I believe people choose The Plastics Doc not just for what we do, but for how we do it—with honesty, precision, and results that feel like you, just more confident.
