Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Vincent.
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey in the security industry at 18 years old as a frontline security officer, eventually working my way up to a supervisor role. Early on, I developed a strong work ethic and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to protect people and property.
At one point, I took a completely different path and pursued music, performing alongside artists like YG and others. While it was an exciting chapter, it ultimately led me to a difficult period financially, which pushed me to reset and refocus my life.
That reset brought me to South Carolina, where I joined Duke Energy in the nuclear industry. During my time there, I experienced rapid growth, earning four promotions in a relatively short period. I later had the opportunity to work at the corporate level in Charlotte, where I contributed to publishing nuclear fleet procedures. That experience was incredibly formative, allowing me to learn from some of the most brilliant operational minds in the country. During that time, I was able to help drive efficiencies and reduce liabilities that resulted in millions of dollars in savings.
Despite that success, I felt a strong pull toward entrepreneurship. While visiting California, I reconnected with someone who would become my wife, and that moment changed everything. I made the decision to leave a stable corporate career, put in my two weeks’ notice, and return to California to pursue building something of my own.
Initially, I set out to start a marketing business, but my father, Dan Vincent, encouraged me to leverage the foundation he had built at Superior Protection Services. That decision proved to be pivotal.
I leaned into sales, marketing, and operational strategy, and we were able to rapidly scale the company, tripling its size in a relatively short period of time. Along the way, I discovered a deeper passion not just for growth, but for building a strong culture centered around both customer and employee experience.
We became early adopters of integrating technology with traditional guarding services, creating more advanced, efficient, and cost-effective security solutions for our clients. This approach helped position us differently in the market and fueled further growth.
Over time, my voice in the industry began to expand. Through sharing insights, experiences, and perspectives, I’ve built a following of 35,000 business proffessionals on LinkedIn and have become an active contributor to conversations around the future of security.
At the core of everything I do is a genuine passion for helping people. Whether it’s creating opportunities, building careers, or improving safety for the communities we serve, I believe in doing what’s right and leading with service. That principle has guided my journey from the very beginning and continues to shape where I’m going next.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Working with my family is a blessing, but it has its obstacles. My father is our CEO, and my brother is our Director of Operations. Building this company with my family has been my biggest joy, but it also has its challenges. We all have different ideas, passions, and objectives, but in the end we always allign and accomplish what we set out to do.

While many companies still operate in a traditional, guard-only model, we’ve evolved into a solutions-driven organization that combines highly trained personnel with advanced technology to deliver smarter, more effective protection.
Our core services include professional security guarding, mobile patrol, AI-powered video monitoring, CCTV system design and installation, and rapidly deployable mobile surveillance units. What we specialize in, and what we’ve become known for, is our ability to integrate these services into a single, cohesive security strategy tailored to each client’s environment.
What truly sets us apart is our philosophy: security should not just be a presence, it should be a system. We focus on a layered model built around detection, verification, and response. From a brand standpoint, what I’m most proud of is how we’ve positioned ourselves at the intersection of tradition and innovation. We respect the fundamentals of security guarding, but we’re not limited by them. We’ve been early adopters of new technologies and have worked hard to educate the market on what modern security should look like.
I also take pride in the trust we’ve built. Many of our clients operate large-scale, high-risk environments, from logistics and distribution centers to commercial properties and residential communities. They rely on us not just as a vendor, but as a partner in protecting their people, assets, and reputation.
What I want readers to understand is that security is evolving, and it needs to. The old model of simply placing a guard at a post is no longer enough for today’s risks. The future of security is integrated, intelligent, and proactive, and that’s exactly where we’re focused.
